Chapter 18: A reStart

A few hours had come by and I had awoken from my nap. I pushed myself up and I stumbled around. Blyke himself was napping on the couch while watching some weird anime shit.

I rubbed my eyes and headed for the kitchen.

I felt insanely sick and was starting to regret taking that old EMBER amp. I thought maybe eating would help so I made myself a sandwich.

But as soon as I took a bite of it, I collapsed on the floor and puked horribly.

Damn it maybe that was a bad fucking idea!

I tried to get myself up but I couldn't, I was too sick.

Eventually though I managed to get back up. However when I did, I immediately started to realize I had a MUCH bigger aura radius.

Interesting, I can read auras much farther now.

I started to hear a moaning sound and for whatever reason that put me on alert.

I looked around and I saw Blyke drooling and moaning, then immediately....

*BLARP!*

Blyke had shat his pants in his sleep, he moaned "Please sir, I have to shit!"

Must be having a wet dream but not that way.

I shook my head, put on some fresh clothes on and headed outside. I needed some fresh air anyways plus I could see what my ability could do.

Also the dorm now smells like shit.

Fiora's POV 2 Hours Earlier, Wellston High:

I was suddenly stopped in the middle of doorway.

I looked up at his face and it was HIM!

Emerson of all people what are you doing here?!

"Oh uhhh hi? I uh-"

"You know what don't even talk to me." I snapped.

"That's the thanks I get for rescuing you from rape? Damn it I know you treat people like shit a lot but ME?" He started to storm off.

"OK wait I'm sorry, what are you doing here?!" I asked.

He stopped and held up a small syringe. "This."

"Isn't that?" I noticed it was one of those things that can dampen abilities.

"Uh huh, however it has a Phoenix logo on it. This shit is back again and not only that Wellston is once again in trouble." He explained.

"Out of all schools why-"

"Ever wonder why the ONLY school in Wellston City is one private high school? That's for a reason, it's not internally a high school it's a magnet. For higher ranked students, there's something about it like a secret power. Why was I, you and Skyla, the hierarchy all nines? Not to mention John, Seraphina, Remi, Blyke and now Reese, Keziah and Sanderson." He pocket the syringe back in his pocket. "Not only have I gained some new skills, I also learned why EMBER, DARKLORD and now Phoenix always targets Wellston High. It's cause it's not, it's a purposefully created magnet."

I was a little surprised but I kinda expected it, considering Wellston's history.

"Wellston always won in turf wars no matter what." He finished.

"Explains a lot. But what do you want me to do about it?" I sighed.

"I'm re-enrolling back, I need to find that secret magnet and literally get it out of defend everyone from now Phoenix." He looked down at his wound filled arm. "There must be a reason why I'm still here."

"Yeah but you said that the rest of us didn't allow ourselves to use our full potential leaving you to do a lot of it." I reminded him. "I think we'll do just fine."

"I did mean what I said but you don't understand, this time it's not some pedophile sex addict or a mental teen with too much power, it's now everything you could think of."

"Alright do what you want but you don't have to you know."

"I can't sit back and watch at least the people I care die." He said.

Then why won't you care about me? You know you want to but why don't you?

"I understand BUT you and I will be cool with each other again on ONE condition." I stated.

"Um alright what is it?" He scratched his head.

Alright let's try this..

"You have to get back with me and you can't break up with me again over something stupid like my 'safety' or anything like that." I finished.

I crossed my fingers.

C'mon I know you want to.

"Uhhhhhhhh." He sighed. "Fine."

Yay I GOT HIM BACK!

"Good!" I smiled. "Glad we could come to an agreement." I put out my hand and we shook on it.

"Just so you know, you're putting yourself through trouble wanting to do this." He reminded me.

"I know." I brushed it off. "Blah blah I don't care alright? I already was suicidal after you died so I'd much rather be dead than alive without you."

Oh my gosh I just said the cheesiest cringiest shit, damn IT.

"Um alright? Just letting you know." He admitted defeat.

"Trust me if you really didn't like me you wouldn't have agreed to this." I reminded him.

"Now come on and let's go do some stupid fun shit for once." I grabbed his arm and started to head to the mall.
