(Season two episode two
Trick Or Treat, Freak)
Today was Halloween, a holiday that Charlie loved. Because for a day she could pretend to be someone or something she wasn't. She wasn't a loser for a day.Charlie turned on her Walkman after class. Music always calmed her down. And it made her forget about her problems.
She wasn't watching where she was going as she bumped into someone.
She yanked the headphones down. "I'm so so sorry."
"It's fine." The boy in a ghostbusters costume said. It was one of the boys that had been stalking her and her sister. "You okay?"
"Yeah." She stuttered, blushing. "I like your costume."
"Really?" He asked surprised. "I feel fucking stupid. No one else dressed up besides me and my best friends."
"Well, you look... bitchin." Charlie was never one to curse so she didn't know why she did then. Maybe to seem cool to this boy?
"I'm Eli." The boy laughed.
"I'm Charlie." She greeted.
"I know." At her wide eyes, he blushed. "I-I mean, my favorite teacher announced you to the whole class so I... just remember, that's all?"
She giggled, brushing her hair back. "I better be going. My sister is waiting for me."
She held her head down as she walked pass the cute boy.
"Hey, want to go trick or treating with me and my friends?" Eli felt the courage to ask, a smirk on his lips. "We're meeting at the Maple street cul-de-sac at 7:00."
In that moment he looked exactly like his brother with his smirk.
She paused, not fully turning so he wouldn't see her red face. "Can my sister come?"
He nodded even though she couldn't see him. "Yeah, of course."
"Then yeah, I'll talk her into it." She quickly hurried off.
