Will was zombie boy.

That's what the kids at school called him anyway.

After what happened last night, the blonde asked Eli about it when she saw him at school. She didn't know Will that well, but she was worried about him.

And Eli told her about Will going missing last year, obviously keeping some thing's hidden, though Charlie didn't know that.

She felt bad for the Byers boy. He was so sweet and kind. He didn't deserve any of that.

He went missing, had a empty casket funeral because they found another dead kid and they thought it was him. But by some miracle he was found.

She felt sad for the boy.

No wonder he was so quiet.

After what Charlie's been through, she thought quiet would be the best idea. Her brother obviously thought the opposite.

"The case of Phineas Gage is one of the great medical curiosities of all time." Mr. Clarke broke Charlie out of her thoughts. "Phineas was a railroad worker in 1848 who had a nightmarish accident. A large iron rod was driven completely through his head." He drew a picture explaining his lesson. "Phineas miraculously survived. He seemed fine. And physically, yes, he was. But his injury resulted in a complete change to his personality."

The two sisters had been watching Will, wondering how he could've gone through so much already in his young age.

Will had felt eyes on him so he turned to look behind him, watching as Max looked away pretending she wasn't staring and Charlie giving him a small smile. He furrowed his brows confused. He turned back around.

"So much so that friends that knew him started referring to him "no longer Gage." Mr. Clarke continued. "At the time, this was known as the American crowbar case. Although it wasn't a—"

Dustin burst through the doors, out of breath. He panted. "I am so sorry, Mr. Clarke. Really, I'm so sorry. Please continue with the class. Don't mind me. Really, continue, please. Thanks."
