(Season two episode five
Dig Dug)
"Steve. How do you make a girl not mad at you anymore?" Eli asked his brother that early morning. The ex king of Hawkins High began to laugh, eating his bowl of cereal. "Does my little brother have a crush on a girl?"
Eli groaned. "Just tell me. Please."
Steve raised his brows. "Okay. But first tell me why."
"There's a girl, she's very pretty and became my friend but she's not really in the party if you know what I mean." Eli gave him a look. "And she's mad that we're hiding it from her and her sister. So... what should I do?"
Steve sighed, leaning forward. "One, buy flowers. Two, apologize. Three, just tell her the truth or part of the truth. If you think she's trustworthy then you shouldn't care what the guys will do. Follow your gut, E."
Steve was proud of his brother and happy the boy came to him. This is the first time Eli asked him about a girl.
Steve would do anything for Eli. They really only had each other. Their parents were always fighting and basically didn't care to be around them.
So the brothers were very close, and they would do anything for each other.
It was always them against their parents and the world.
Eli nodded, thinking of a plan. "Thanks, Steve."

Eli finally put together a solid plan, as did Lucas.
Lucas knew that Eli agreed with him about Max and Charlie, so he told the Harrington boy his plan of telling them the truth.
They weren't here long, but they quickly became part of the party. Max and Charlie deserved the truth even if the others wouldn't agree.
So the two boys went to the arcade, waiting for the sisters to get there. Lucas placed a out of order sign on the Dig Dug game, before they went in the back to wait.
"Are you sure they'll be here?" Lucas questioned.
Eli nodded, tightly gripping the single rose in his hand, flinching as a thorn pricked him. "They will be."
Outside Billy Hargrove jolted to a stop in front of the arcade. Max hurrying out of the car.
"If you're not out in a hour-"
