Wow. His voice. His eyes. His cheekbones! My god. Those cheekbones could slice someones hand in half if they slapped him. He was magnificent.
I realised I hadn't answered him. "Good morning Mr Cumber-" he cut me off.
"Call me Benedict." He interrupted, with that beautiful British accent. I am British, but his accent is just so beautiful. I can't work out where he's from. Not from Peterborough, that's for sure.
I cleared my throat, " Good morning, Benedict." I said nervously, and then forced a smile.
"That's better. I should think I am allowed to call you Elizabeth?"
"You can call me Izzy, i-if you want." I stuttered.
"I think Elizabeth suits you a lot better."
"Okay, sir." I said, not looking at him.
"Now, Elizabeth. What makes you think you would be the right person for the job?"
"Well, um, I'm very hard working, I have won lots of cases in the past with other law firms and I would like to help innocent people get the justice they deserve."
"Very good...very good."
I smiled. I was relaxing a little now.
"I like your attitude. You seem like a very positive and mature woman."
I nodded. "Thank you, sir."
"Right well, I think this interview is over. I know its a bit short and sweet but I think it's worth it because you got the job. Congratulations." He held his hand out for me to shake it. I nervously stretched out my arm to shake his hand. I grasped his had and shook it as he smiled at me with a beautiful smile. His hands were very soft. Not like Martin's at all.
"Thank you so much Mr- I mean, Benedict." I beamed.
He smiled and then said "You'll start tomorrow, is that okay?" I was overwhelmed. Tomorrow? Whoa.
"Yes yes, that is perfectly fine, sir. What time should I get here?"
"I think 8:30 sounds like a good time. I can't wait for you to show us what you're capable of." He smiled.
He walked over to the door and opened it for me. "Goodbye for now, Elizabeth." He smiled as I walked out.
I was so flushed all I could say was "Bye" and I had to almost run out the door so he didn't see me turn bright red like a tomato. I was so pleased! I had a job, and a good paying one too. I was over the moon. I think this is a great start to a great life and career.
I walked out of there with what must have been the biggest grin ever. I walked over to the elevator and pressed the button. As I was waiting I was thinking about my life. Everything is going to change now. Hopefully, I'll get a nice apartment and at least be able to buy a car so I can at least get to work on time.
~this chapter wasn't that amazing but I will try my best to make future ones better! This chapter was more a filler. I would really appreciate it if you guys left a comment telling me what you thought and what I can improve on. Thanks guys!~ ~DysUni
