Chapter 8

It's been about an hour since we've been stuck in here. I hate to say it but I think the claustrophobia is getting to me too.

I clutch on to Benedict tight, now feeling quite scared at the fact that no one has come to get us out of here yet.

In an attempt of trying to keep the fact that I'm stuck in an elevator out of my mind, I keep imagining scenarios in my head where me and Benedict get together. The lack of fresh air could also be contributing to my delusions, but it's mainly me trying to fight the claustrophobia.

One of the scenarios is if he some how manages to get us out of here, picks me up bridal style, takes me to his car and has his way with me at his place. I start to smirk when I am brought suddenly back to reality when Benedict moves and snuggles into me a bit more. He's asleep so he doesn't know he's doing it, but it's still really adorable.

Oh god what time is it? I twist my writst slightly so I can see the time 12:47. I'd better call someone. Its been ages since we've been stuck in here. I look down at my phone and sigh. No signal. Great. I remeber from earlier that Benedict keeps his phone in his blazier pocket. I reach into the pocket to get his phone to see if he has signal. I look at the screen and see that he has a text.

From Emily: "I miss you. X"

My eyes widen and my jaw drops to the floor. However, before I can even begin to process this, Benedict begins to wake up. I quickly shove the phone back into his pocket like nothing happened. My eyes still wide open in shock as I turn my head away from his view.

I wait a minute before asking him.

"Benedict?"

"Yes?" He replies, clearly still tired from his little nap.

"Does your phone have signal?"

He pulls the phone out of his pocket and gasps.

"What?" I ask, already knowing exactly what he was gasping at.

"Oh, n-nothing." He stutters and puts his phone back.

"Do you have signal?"

"Oh, um, sorry I forgot to check." He checked his phone.

"No I don't. Hang on." He says and stands up, holding his phone up towards the roof of the lift. He sighs.

"It's not working." He says, looking down at me. He sits back down and hugs me tight again. I hug him back.

We both fall asleep, me, resting my head on Benedict's chest with his arms around me. One of my arms is around his back and one awkwardly near his crotch, however I am asleep so I don't realise this.

About 30 minutes later I wake up, jolted awake by my terrifying dream. I realise that I am breathing heavily, I calm my self down. I look along his body and admire the toned outlines that are visible through his shirt.

As my eyes trail down his body I suddenly spot where my hand is. I flinch my hand away, hoping that he wasn't awake to see the predicament I was in. I look up at him and see that he was watching me the whole time. "Oh my God I am so sorry I didn't even realise my han-"

"It's okay. I know you were asleep." He said with a smile. I began to giggle.

A few more minutes pass and I begin to realise where I am again. I start to feel more and more uncomfortable. At this point, I can't help but make up thing in my head where we're trapped in here forever and can't get out. And then we starve to death or we eat eachother. I'm feeling rather sick.

"Oh god, when are we going to get out of here." I say, my voice slightly shaking.

"I don't know." Benedict replies, his voice also shaking.

I stand up and start banging my fists on the door and kicking it, screaming. Benedict stands and pulls me back away from the doors as I start to cry.

"Shh shh, it's going to be okay." He says whilst sitting me down.

It was at that moment that we heard something. The elevator whurred back into action, and we felt it move down. We both looked at each other in disbelief and joy. The bell pinged and we both stood up and ran outside. We breathed in the 'fresh' air and jumped in joy. We hugged eachother whilst laughing.

"Hey, sorry about that guys. Power cut. Typical, huh?" I stopped laughing. My face dropped. I knew that voice.
