Alarm. 7:00am. I sighed. I dragged myself out of bed and got in the shower. I didn't get much sleep last night because I was so excited. Once I had showered, I went to go get my breakfast. Damn. No milk. I sighed once more and made myself some toast instead. I got dressed, brushed my teeth and put my make-up on. It was 8:00am. Shit. I guess i'll just have to let my hair dry naturally. My hair is really curly when it dries naturally.I ran to the bus stop, only just making it there. I was worried about being late, I didn't want to get fired on the first day, that would just be so embarrassing.

I arrived at my stop at 8:25am. I ran into the building and again, ran into the elevator. Trying my best to not look too rushed. Ping! My floor. I stepped out of the elevator and went to the reception desk.

"Hello, how may I help you?" The same woman from yesterday asked.

"Hey, um it's my first day at this job but I'm not sure where I'm supposed to be." I said quietly so no one could hear.

"Step this way, Elizabeth." I heard a very familiar voice. Benedict.

I nodded and walked over to him. He motioned for me to go inside his office, so I did. He sat down at his desk while I stood, waiting for further instructions. He motioned for me to sit down so I sat down anxiously waiting for what he was going to say. There was a knock at the door.

"Wait a minute." He mumbled to me.

He went over to the door and opened it slightly, I couldn't see who it was exactly.

"Not now!" He spoke harshly through his teeth before slamming the door in the poor person's face.

He sat down quickly and resumed from where he had left off.

"So, Elizabeth. I have some rather bad news" I gulped. Oh god oh god. What have I done?! I nodded shyly for him to continue.

"Your office isn't quite ready yet. So, unfortunately for you, you will have to just make do with me." My eyes widened. What did that mean?

"I mean you'll basically be my secretary for about a week or so before you start your real job. Is that okay with you?" I mentally said 'phew' in my head. I got a bit scared there for a second.

"Yes sir. That is absolutely fine. I'm very grateful." I said humbily.

"Very good. Well, you can start by sorting my bookcase out. It's a real mess."

"Yes, of course sir." I nodded and stood up immediately.

"Elizabeth." I flinched slightly. "Alphabetical, if you wouldn't mind."

"Of course, sir." I walked over to the other side of his gigantic office. His bookcase really was messy. I started taking all the 'A' books off of the shelves and put them in a pile. Then the 'B' books, then 'C' and so on. Benedict was sorting through papers on his desk at this point. They kept rustling and rustling but then it suddenly stopped. I just ignored it because I had concluded that if I turned around I would look obsessed and weird. So I carried on. Sorting all of his books into alphabetical order. I rather enjoyed it. He had so many books. I wonder how many of then he'd actually read. As I turned around towards him to get one of the books, I glanced over at him and I had found that he was starring at me. What? Why?

"Is something the matter, sir?" I asked, curious.

As soon as I spoke he snapped out of it. "What? No. I'm fine. Carry on, you're doing a wonderful job." And with that he stood up to get some papers from his filing cabinet. I noticed something very strange. His trousers looked tighter than before. Oh. Well that's not obvious at all. I quickly turned back around before it became obvious that I had been starring at him. What.Just.Happened. I thought to myself. I was so confused. I tried not to think about it and just got back to work.

It was nearly 4:00pm and I had only just finished putting the 'D' books back. Bloody hell that took a long time. I'm going to have to be finishing this lot off tomorrow too. If not the day after as well.

It got to 5:00 and I had gotten half way to getting all the 'E' books on the shelf.

"You can stop now, Elizabeth." Benedict ordered.

I put the last book in my hand on the shelf and turned around. He was standing about 1.5 meters away from me and he looked rather tired.

"You can go home now, well done for today you've done very well."

"Thank you, sir. I shall see you tomorrow then. I will finish the books off tomorrow." I walked over to the door and let myself out. Benedict didn't move a muscle.

When I got home it was about half 5. Wow. What a day. I sighed. I got myself a cup of Chai Tea and sat down on my sofa. I switched the TV on and watched the news. As I was drinking my tea I was wondering about the events of today. What did that mean? Was it just a coincidence? Yes. It must've been. But then, why was he starring at me? Well to be honest, for all I know he could've been daydreaming about his wife. Although I didn't see a ring, but I wasn't really looking for one. I finished my tea and decided to watch some Family Guy that I had recorded. I watched that for a couple of hours then decided to go to sleep. Anxious for the day ahead.

~this chapter is a bit long, sorry about that but I just got a bit carried away hahaha, hope you enjoyed it and leave a comment telling me what you think! I might actually try to make every chapter this long as the others were a bit short aha~ ~DysUni
