Ordinary man

Chapter 3

"Like the Marvel in the legend?", I sat next to him.

"Legend?"

"Yeah, they say, there was a man, a big sinner, and to restore his honor and be forgiven he went to kill the dragon, but it killed him, like many others."

"Well, the dragon didn't kill him, he became the dragon.", he looked down.

"So, it's you?"

"Yes."

"This legend is hundreds of years old."

"Yes, and so am I."

"Oh my...."

"But I didn't go to restore my Honor, the wizard cursed me for the rest of my life to become the unholy beast I am, they chased me out of town and i ended up here, hiding from the people."

"What have you done? What was the sin?"

"A kiss."

"A kiss? But that's not a sin."

"This one is....", he closed his eyes and pressed his lips on mine, I felt it in my whole body, it had so much love in it.

"Sorry, shouldn't have done this.", he looked away and wanted to stand up to leave.

"No, it's okay.", I grabbed his Hand, it was warm and soft, although it was covered in scales, but he pulled it away.

"Don't, I'm a monster."

"No you're not.", I grabbed his hand again.
"So you're into men?"

"Yes."

"Like me.", I smiled and hugged him.

He buried his head into my neck, hugging me too, I felt his claws on my back, but he was gentle.

"I needed a hug, thank you. It's been ages since someone last hugged me.

"It's okay, but we can't tell anyone."

"I don't know many people to tell.", he giggled.

"So, why do you attack us? For real now."

"Food, I don't have anything, I needed clothes, something to eat and something to sleep....and a bit of revenge for doing this to me.", he admitted a bit embarrassed.

"Could you try to stop destroying our stuff the next time?"

"I try.", he smiled and waved when I made my way back home.

Back in my room in my family's house I searched for things he could need, I packed some meat and bread, a pot to cook and some cups and plates.
I went to bed thinking about him, he was alone for hundreds of years, he must feel unloved, and I want to change that.
