Frozen Resolve

Prologue

●Contains Spoilers if you haven't finished my previous story "Fragments Of Time"

(???'s POV)

"Big bro, you look even bigger now, a lot bigger than your girlfriend Icy, you know?" a voice teased. "Sis! She's just a friend, she's not my girlfriend!" I yelled at her, but I could feel my cheeks getting a little hotter. My crush, who was spending time with her brother and the rest of her family, did indeed look like something I would possibly eat if I lived in the wild. "Going to Luminous Spring probably wasn't a good idea," I thought to myself. Though I evolved, I was still only 2/3 the height of my kind, since I never ate what I was supposed to eat.

"Let's go back to Sharpedo Bluff, mommy and daddy must be so eager to see you after you evolved," my sister said to me. "By the way, are you sure leaving Matt alone in the sea at the night would be a good idea?" I asked my sister. "Sure, he's trying to be independent, so of course, it would!" my sister replied as we headed home.

"Brings back memories, doesn't it? This place" my sister asked with a smile. "Yeah right, I brought an apple here to help you with the Grandmaster of all things bad thing, then you bit my tail" I grumbled, then my sister giggled after I said that. "You were the first Luxray to ever learn how to fly~" she chanted. "Sis!"

"I wonder if anymon will call you my dad after we return to Treasure Town" my sister teased, then I remembered the fact that I was at my final evolution state while my sister didn't even evolve for once. "That's...weird, but I guess everymon in town knows us from the whole time gear thing" I muttered.

It was already midnight when we got back to Sharpedo Bluff, my crush was visiting her parents and sleeping with them tonight, so I didn't need to worry about embarrassing myself for the rest of the day...but when we got there, I saw a pink mon crying, next to her was a big black figure in a janitor suit.

My sister and I rushed toward them as fast as we could despite our legs being tired after the long walk we had. "Dusknoir, Petal, what happened!?" my sister asked. "M-my, dear..." Petal tried to reply while she kept sobbing, but she couldn't say it.

"Petal..I...I don't know what to say...but he'll be back, he's going to be back like he did last time ok?" Dusknoir tried to comfort her by placing his huge hand on her shoulder. "Dusknoir, can you tell us what happened?" I asked, then he looked at the ground. "Go see for yourself" he muttered.

My sister and I went to our door, however, the door of our house was smashed likely by force. A few claw marks were on top of it, telling us who broke through the door. "Why would he do such a thing?" my sister asked. "Sis...I-I'm afraid of blood...but let's go in together ok? I'll try not to faint after seeing whatever lies in front of us" I said to her and closed my eyes.

"1..2...3!" the two of us dashed in together, in front of us were two unconscious eeveelutions, they both lay in awkward positions while something that didn't seem to be from our world stuck on them.

"Wow, these things are sharp, but I'm glad daddy and mommy are still alive," my sister said after looking at our still breathing parents and pulling out one of those things, the tips of those were needles, while some strange liquid seemed to be inside a transparent tube.

"Fluffy, are you here?" I shouted to the one we treated as our younger brother, which hatched from his egg a few years ago. "Big bro, look!" my sister exclaimed and pointed at the window in the living room. "Oh..no...this didn't happen..." I muttered.

In front of us, was a broken window. A few claw marks and small leaves were on the floor, some dirty footprints seemed to be leading towards the window. "He kidnapped Fluffy, then dashed out?!" my sister exclaimed in disbelief, then something caught my eye. "Sis, I don't think that's what happened"
