Note: The lore of this part of the game was processing exceedingly slowly, so I'm putting several days together to speed up the process, same goes for the next one.

(Randy's POV)

"Wrrff...uh?...oh, it's morning already?" I blinked my eyes open from the harsh sunlight. "Wow, I must have slept in, considering how bright it is," I mused and looked around. Icy lay on the other side of the bed while Blossom was nowhere in sight. I then looked at myself and blushed. "Oh, shit, I better get something on myself. Hopefully, Icy doesn't seem to mind," I thought and headed toward the bathroom. "I'm surprised Blossom isn't using me as her plushie today. I'm so used to her doing it that it feels weird for her not to be sleeping next to me,"

"Now, I should grab my exploration outfit and..." I muttered as I padded into the bathroom. "Mmrr...need plushie...mrraw..." a feminine voice purred. "Oh my...I didn't see anything! I'm getting out of here!" I panicked, grabbed my shirt, and immediately bolted out without looking at the sleeping feline wrapped in a towel. "Oh, my, god, I have no idea what would have happened if Blossom caught me in there again,"

I then spotted something next to Blossom's sleeping box. "Huh? That's the sandwich thing from yesterday?" I wondered. I have no idea what had gotten into me the day before, but it felt right. I remembered how the two girls toyed with me and how I humiliated myself, all because I turned into a Rockruff. Yet, it felt good to be so obedient. It felt like an instinct to run after the ball and get tickled on command. "Not like I'm falling for it again, just to prove it..." I muttered and approached the sandwich. "Looks good to bite on..."

(one squeak later)

"Mmrr?...good morning, I'm still tired from...huh? Randy? What are you doing?"

"ARF! I'm having a good snack!"

"The experiment proved me wrong for sure. I had to get rescued from a sandwich," I muttered in embarrassment while the two girls kept laughing at me after the rescue. "Well, today's a new start! What do you want to do today?" Blossom asked, as energetic as always. "Aren't we going on missions...like we do every day?" I asked. "Yep! Or we can play with you before we head out!" she exclaimed. "I-I don't like the sound of that! It sounds like the whole business you did to me yesterday," I refused. "Exactly! That's what we should do, right, Icy?" Blossom asked with a grin. "Yeah, but that can come after our missions! Aaand, there's something I have to tell you guys..."

"Blossom? It's not like I'm going to die there or anything!" Icy exclaimed when Blossom suddenly wrapped her paws around her. "I know, it's a 'Goodbye hug!' I wish you good luck, Icy! Maybe he'll take you to the Air continent, too!" Blossom exclaimed. "You haven't hugged me in so long, Blossom! I can't remember the last time you did it!" Icy hugged her back. "Hey, Randy! Why don't you join us!" "Huh? Oof!"

"Bigger the hug, the better it is!" Blossom exclaimed and hugged the two of us while I was trapped firmly in her hug, dazed. "Blossom, it's a little too tight!" I managed to say, but she hugged me even tighter. "C'mon, Randy! You're supposed to return it!" she exclaimed, and I reluctantly did the same. "I don't mind having a group hug, Randy. I only mind if some random male hugs me out of nowhere!" Icy said with a smile, and the three of us shared it. "Thanks!"

We then went to check on Urias and Esmeralda. To our relief, Swanya told us both of them were okay and able to go on a walk under Ivy's supervision. We then went to find Kuro and Duff since we assumed Ivy was staying today. Suddenly a massive beam of light shot into the sky with a loud bang. A ring of floating runes spread through the sky, and the light disappeared roughly after a minute as we stood there, dazed.

The five of us then headed toward the direction where the beam was fired, located on one of the small mountains in the town. "EEEEEUREKA!" a familiar voice shouted. "I can't believe we finally did it!" another exclaimed, followed by two researchers highpawing with each other. The two had their lab coats coated with a layer of black. The pink one's face was tanned dark enough to match the other mon's fur coat, while a green quadrupedal smiled, watching them from a distance.
