I am checking my fundraiser every day and already got some little donations, but now I am staring on my phone seeing that the goal is reached. My mouth is open and I can not believe it. The bar is complete, we've got together 15.000 dollar, 15.000! I am actually questioning how strangers are okay with supporting me, a stranger, this big! The last donation was 1.000 dollar from an anonymous person. Of course I am directly on my way running to my mum. "You, you won't believe it, we've hit the goal, we've actually hit it!" I shout with tears in my eyes. My mom is holding her breath and widening her eyes. "You're sure? 15.000 dollar? I would've never expected it to work! I am speechless. Honey you're going on that trip!" she says with the biggest smile. "To my time this would've never been possible! How can we thank the people?" "I can update them on my journey, I think they would love to see it." "Of course! You also always have to update me!" she says. I nod excited. But I am actually not sure if 15.000 dollars is enough if you think of all the incidental costs like insurances. Jemma and I presented our project to our class because they were all so interested and it's actually a real goal for our school to have participants. Jemma suggested to do an cake sell in our school or anything, but we don't have a feedback on it yet so I have to wait and see.

There are just two days left until the journey starts on Sunday, so it's my last day of school today. I will definitely miss my classmates and teachers even though I could live without some. They are my class, we know each other since two years and are getting along really well. I am also so surprised by how happy they are for us. Until now. Now I am speechless. Overwhelmed. I open the door together with Jemma to my classroom and see all our classmates shouting "surprise" surrounded by blue balloons and Confetti. I start to laugh and look at Jemma who is in shock. "It's your last day! So we want to celebrate and we also have a little surprise!" our class representative Charlotte says. "Wow, we are, speechless! I did expect a boring last day full of new learning matter I have to remember over the whole half year, but this, you guys are the best! Thank you so so much! You make us to the happiest person being." I speak for both of us with a read face. "I agree, thank you endless much! We really appreciate the gesture." Jemma adds. We had some nice class trips together, but we never experienced something so supportive together. And just now I noticed the fabric banner over my head saying "Bon voyage!" and my smile gets even bigger. "Coming to your gift, we've collected donations in the streets for both of you in the city yesterday, and of course we've added some ourselves. It's 2500 dollars." Charlotte says proud and happy. "What? Really?" I say like my mother yesterday. "This is, so much! Thank you thank you thank you!" I add hyped. I don't know how Jemma got together all the money for the trip, even though her parents are also pretty wealthy because once a painting of her dad got voted for over 10 thousand dollars, but I think it makes her as happy as it makes me. "And, we're also doing the cake sale you suggested this lunch so we can help you even a little more. We already made some advertising, so lets see how much we can get." "Okay this is, I can not thank you enough but you definitely just won the price for the best class in universe. We'll send you lots of pictures from our adventure." Jemma says before Mr. Godwin who's not even our class teacher says "we hope so" with his big smile from behind the crowd. "You organized all this?" I ask him surprised. "Me and your mother, yes. She helped us a lot." he replies. I am even more surprised now, and I'm also feeling slightly nervous since me and Jemma are the main characters now. "Thank you." I say with the biggest relieve. My mother organized this the whole time behind my back? Because of that she wasn't as stressed as I was, wow I am so happy that I can't even realize it. All my doubts can fly away now.

As soon as I came home I directly looked for my mother and I directly called her out on her secret surprise. "Mom, how could you keep such a secret without batting an eye? I am so happy!" I shout. "I told you that I'll call Mr. Godwin", she says with wink. "Moms are heroes. You are talking about the boat trip every day and minute and your eyes sparkle every time. I am happy, for having such an amazing daughter." "I can't believe my luck and how many people were involved to make this possible. I'm getting closer and closer to my dream. Thank you mum, really, I love you!"
