"It was about twenty-five years ago that your mother Vera and I were heading home from a party one of our friends was throwing on the west side of this small little town. We had decided to take a shortcut through the forest to the house we were currently living at. About halfway there, we came across a shimmering pool of round light in the field near Hickman Road. The closest thing I can compare it to would be a round veil that turns into a semi-solid glass. Later your mother and I would learn that these mystic things were called Portals.
Before your mother and I had time to react to what we just saw, your father had burst out of the center of the portal with four masked men wearing dark black robed outfits trailing right behind him with weapons out. I didn't know who was more surprised to see each other us or them.
I could tell the robes fighters had come to fight swords in their hands and the look of cold murder in their eyes and so did your mother They were here to kill your father and your mother and me, we were the only witnesses to stand in between them and ...their target and prey.
"Your father, Crown Prince Russo Daylen of Jaeden, had used some of his magic after being stabbed in the side to create the portal so that it could bring him here to the Earth Realm to hide a gem that could be used to unlock an ancient evil that could destroy everything. After your father had run into some very shady characters called the Vixs back in his realm, he thought that it was the best time to move and ferry the gem to somewhere it could be hidden safely.
"The Charvia, which translates loosely into magic-born, were the ones who had sent the Vixs after him were after the gem. These groups of humans and elves were made of those who use their magic and turned it into dark magic intent on releasing a very powerful demonic leader, Zenu. A very evil and very immortal half-human, half-demon, so he could dominate all the known realms with them as their commanders. Their current leaders at the time and I still assume nowadays are Zatu, Marsta, Shallow, and Morth Ramas, four immortal siblings, almost as dark as their demon-leader. The sibling's loyalty remains only to Zenu and each other. Remember that Tobias. They had been with Zenu from the beginning, doing his bidding, killing any of those who would oppose him or he thought was a threat.
Zatu, the eldest, was killed during the War of the Flivi (a battle that was led years later by your grandfather) after Zenu was trapped in his prison. There were rumors that the immortal siblings were Zenu's children created after he casted a dark spell over his home realm and made from the land it was once made of. Each of the siblings rules their own individual groups with fear or magic or both, each looking for a special amulet that was forged by the elves and dwarves of the Hillcrest Mountains and the three magic gems that would unlock the door that would unleash their dark lord.
Another thing you need to remember is when Zenu was defeated the first and second time, it took three white magicians, one of each blood to lock him in the realm of Vastor, one of the darkest realms in the known universe and closed the door. The Wizards then securing the lock wouldn't open by normal means buy turning the keys into three magical gems each with its own special qualities of their own.
"After Zenu was trapped. The remaining siblings Marsta, Shallow, and Morth were trapped in the kingdoms they had made after the decisive battle along with those who helped them, unable to age, unable to see each other, but also unable to go and leave their domains themselves to look for the precious amulet and gems because of the powerful border spells that had been cast. Not that it mattered. They had already done massive damage and because of them and the wars families had been torn countless families apart, friendships shattered all because of the lies they had told. It doesn't matter they are trapped in there kingdoms though; those final three siblings could just send other people to search. That's what they did before the war anyway. Why change old habits when they had worked in the past.
