We all get up early the next day. Well, I did, at least. I have a lot on my mind today. For one it's officially my nineteenth birthday today. Today is the day we were originally supposed to come to Jaeden, but there was nothing I can do that now and who knows if we would have met Avona and Silas if we would have left when we were supposed to.
Alastar's sitting by the entrance of the cave on shift, but when he notices I'm up, he gives me a nod gets up and heads over to get in a quick nap before everyone else gets up and we officially begin the day. Since I have some time to kill, I pull out the Guide to Jaeden and settle in to get to know my home world. I flip through the book and decide to take a closer look at the creatures and beast section. I notice that my father has labeled the creatures and beasts by levels. One is for the weakest ones and level five for the strongest ones.
Kraisers - Level three- Always remember they travel and hunt in packs. Has thick skin that's hard to pierce with modern weapons. (Kind of already figured that out, Dad). If you must fight, aim for the legs and if all else fails, the hide is highly flammable. It can be found in the valleys.
Fairies- Level four- the fairies' powers can depend on the elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. If you make a deal with them, be cautious, they will not hesitate to go back on their word. You can find it anywhere there's an element. If you don't want to deal with the fairy, get rid of the element. If you want to summon the fairy, get the element that they use and say this spell. Liva Somo and the name whatever fairy you wish to summon.
Vatini- Level Four- These spirits are used to possess people by the Charvia. Only Level seven or higher dark practitioners can control. If outside a body, the spirits if shot through the head with a bone-arrow kills them, if in someone: can just possess for a total of three days before needing to recharge their energy. Kill the sorcerer and kill the Vatini as well.
Roerus- Level One- Found in dark damp areas. Part fish: needs water to stay alive. It can be identified by the gleaming scales that in most towns the scales can be traded for other items you need. Its meat is safe to eat. Has very sharp teeth. Don't let it bite you. If it does, it won't let go until either you or itself are dead.
Charvia- Level Five- have Been around ever since Jaeden began; Devoted followers of Zenu. The three current leaders Zatu, Marsta, and Shallow, are level seven magi. Dark Magicians. Immortal: to kill them, you must cut off their head. They are obsessed with returning Zenu to this realm.
Levius-Level four or five-depends on who you meet. Another name for elves that have turned so dark, they have become almost unrecognizable. Levius is marked by a dark tattoo on his/her lower back or upper shoulder blade shaped like a diamond. Very few Levius find their way back to the light and redeem themselves. Some do though.
After reading about creatures and beasts, I go back to the chapter section and notice one called Allies. Quickly I flip to the chapter.
Maya: One of my closest friends ever since I can remember. Lives right outside of the capital on an old farm. Powerful Sorceress.
Rovu: has been my best friend since we were five years old. Used to live in Sertina until I became king then moved into the Capitol.
Savono and Wiltin Bilkeo - Brothers I met while on my travels. No clue where they came from or where they live—friends of Rovu. Thieves, so watch your pockets.
Soju- daughter of King Sawavo of the Kingdom of Verlus. Powerful Battle Magic-User or (BMU). Be cautious of her friends Ishia and Fenji. It depends on how much money's involved whether they will help you unless Soju says otherwise.
