The ground beneath us and our horse have started to shake the moment our butts hit the saddle, making the horses begin to buck. It's a miracle that any one of us is able to stay on. Then we hear the cry again only louder. Louder and closer. A screeching wail.

"What the hell is that?" I holler over to Avona and Salis as we try and calm our horses down and put them into a gallop away from the sound.

"It's a Kraiser." Avona hollers back at me. What the hell is a freaking Kraiser. Well, I get my answer a few moments later when I do a quick glance behind us see a glance of the creature as it's charging at us. The creature's a beast that has a skin or hide so thick that I believe arrows would just bounce off of if I tried to shoot it. The creature runs on four legs or two and it's fast. Veery fast. The Kraiser charges at us the way an ape or gorilla would, only faster.

To the right up ahead, I see a path that looked like it had been used in quite a few years. I just hope I don't lead into a dead-end again. I turn my head to try and get Michael's attention when I get knocked off of Eclipse. You see it turns out Kraiser's travel in packs. With a little (okay, a lot of luck), I'm able to pull out my sword and get up before the creature is on top of me. I do a quick glance over at my horse to make sure Eclipse is alright. The horse is fine. The Kraiser had not seriously hurt him thank God.

A loud shriek brings my attention back to the creature. The Kraiser that is standing front of me is over six feet tall and looked pissed. To makes things worse this creature has fangs and very sharp claws. The Kraiser opens its mouth and makes another high-pitched wail again, that makes me want to drop my sword and cover my ears. Good thing I don't because after the it finished wailing, the creature charges right at me and I have roll to the side to avoid being mauled. The creature must realize that it has missed but it stops a short distance away and turns around for round two. Thinking quickly, I attack the creature by trying to slash at its side as it runs pass me the second time. My aim was off and I miss the spot where I was aiming and my blade connects with the Kaiser's leg instead making the beast cry out and flipping the creature onto its back. The Kaiser sure is agile at least for how big it is. It only takes it a few seconds to get back on its feet, though its front leg is now bleeding badly from where my blade had made contact.

The Kaiser just stands there staring at me with eyes as pure white as snow, it doesn't have any pupils. What is with all the creatures from this realm looking like they are blind? To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how or if the creature can see so at first, I try swinging my sword around in a circle above my head so that the sword makes a whistling sound and try to give the Kaiser a warning to stay away or at least try to imitate it.

The idea doesn't work, instead it just seems to just make the creature even more mad and it charges at me again, oblivious to the gash on its leg and all the blood that was coming out of it. Thinking again I decide to crouch down, a deciding to roll away again and see if I can at the last second take out another leg when a flame comes out of nowhere. The flames catch the creature's thick hide on fire and it lets out another screech this time in a howl of pain. The other Kaisers hasn't attacked and I see why they have already taken off. I can see their dust from in the direction in which they left.

Grateful, I turn in the direction from which the flames came from expecting to see Michael or one of our new companions and instead I hear a familiar voice, "Now what in the realms, boy were you planning on doing next?" Uncle Ames voice asks with worry in his voice. The look on his face as he walked towards me with a stranger who I assume has to be Alastar walking behind him has the same emotion.

"I was going to roll out of its way and try and slash the other leg," I answer so relieved to see him alive.

Uncle Ames just nods at me, "Sensible. Then what?' I wince because after that I hadn't had a plan.
