After taking up precious time trying to escape Intensive Treatment, he finally came out of a cave in a large, unimpeachable hill. In front of Batman, stood the great Arkham Mansion. Owned by Quincy Sharp it was one of the island's main icons. Gliding towards Arkham West, speakers were switched on, and Joker's voice echoed around the island. "Harley tells me the Batman's car is still parked outside just the Intensive Treatment Building. Now, we can't just have him up and leave us? Can we?""Oracle," called Batman. "Disable the Batmobile's countermeasure system.""I saw the alert," she replied. "What's wrong? Where are you?""I'm in Arkham West. Harley Quinn probably triggered the alarm. If she still has Gordon with her, he could get hurt.""Okay, done. The Batmobile is still parked up outside the Intensive Treatment building in Arkham North. I sent you the schematics for the entire island. I've marked key locations like your car.""Thanks, Oracle."Looking at his left glove, a holographic screen flickered on, displaying the island and the location of his car. In the tunnel between Arkham West and South, an ambulance was parked, the lights still turning. Batman used his Detective Vision and detected armed henchmen on the other side. He grappled onto the arch leaning over them. It was very weak, so he had to be careful. He took them both down with Silent Takedowns, and continued his journey to rescue the Batmobile. Walking into the Courtyard of Arkham North, several men had pipes and using their fists to tear the car apart. The car looked a mess. He crept up on the first one, and performed a Combat Takedown. This consisted of Batman sweeping under the man's leg, causing the to trip, and then elbow them in the nose, causing them to fall unconscious. Batman took a swing from a pipe to the head, but that only made it worse for the assaulter. Batman grabbed the pipe off him, and whacked him in the head with it. Now they're equal. Sort of. Batman took all of the thugs, and went to collect a new gadget from the boot of the car. Explosive Gel is a gadget and occasional weapon. Batman can spray the gel on weak structures and trigger the gel to explode. In combat, Batman can use quick fire Explosive Gel, in which he quickly sprays explosive gel on the ground. When triggered, any enemy in the blast radius will be knocked out. The gel was carried in a syringe-like gun, with a trigger on the handle.Harley trashed the car. Looks like there was a scuffle. Batman needed to search the area around the Batmobile. There could be a clue as to where she took Gordon. Batman scanned the area, and detected an object. Traces of nicotine: 1.24%, tobacco: 98.76%...Wild Country? thought Batman. Gordon's favourite tobacco. Gordon's smarter than he looks. He left me a trail to follow. "Oracle," called Batman. "I found a pipe. It has your father's initials on it.""It was a birthday gift I gave him last year. There's no way he'd leave it.""Exactly. He's left me a trail to follow. He's alive, Barbara."Batman follows a trail, leading him to Arkham West, where the Medical Facility, Penitentiary and Visitor Centre is located. The tobacco trails took him to the side of the Medical facility, where six goons stood guard outside the front door. One of them, with a pipe, Batman grabbed and threw into another four of them. Once they were taken care of, Batman entered the Medical Facility through the front door. On the other side of a security gate, stood Harley Quinn, humming to herself. She turned around, noticing movement in her peripheral vision. "Hey!" she yelled. "Scram, Bats! This is my Me-Time.""Where's Gordon?" asked Batman."Wouldn't you like to know...""I'm over here!" yelled Gordon, out of Batman's sight."Shut up!" yelled Harley, and threw her coffee cup at him.Gordon groaned and swore at Harley. "Harley!" said Joker through the television.Harley jumped."What's HE doing here! It's too early!" exclaimed Joker"I'm sorry puddin'. Pwease don't be angry with me.", followed by a big wet kiss on the TV, leaving a lipstick stain. "Oh, you little minx, I can never stay angry at you!"The television turned off, and that was Harley's cue to saying "Sorry, B-Man! You'll have to find another way! Bye bye, now!"And she wandered off to where Gordon was. Batman had to find another route.
