𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 // 𝐂.𝐒

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰

Si-ah was about to walk out of the library but San stops her by the wrist. She turns to look at him and then her wrist.

San quickly removes his hand, scratching his nape "Sorry, is 7 and is getting darker and darker I- I should walk you home," He fidgets

"Oh... I mean you can but my house is 3 minutes away from here, I think I can manage on my own," She said

She furrows "What's up with you? Being all nice suddenly?"

"I'm always nice."

"You are but this is too nice for me," Si-ah said

"It's so that once you know the truth, I get to know that at least I've done some good to you before the worse comes to worst...which is a broken friendship," He said in his head

"You are a girl, you know how unsafe the world is," San said

"Fine walk me home," She laughed

"We are here!" Si-ah said

"You actually didn't lose your way, I'm proud," San wipes a fake tear

She hits his arm, "Ow! First is Hajin and now you?" He rubs his arm

"Bring your notebook and The English textbook ok?" She said walking towards the door

"Mhm, I will!" The door closes

He sighs walking to the bus stop "How am I going to tell her?"

"Should I tell her tomorrow?"

"Yeah I should, we'll be alone, no librarians to shush us up," He said

"I can't tell her," San is now in front of her house

"Tell me what?" 

"Huh? No, it's nothing should we get started?" He initiates 

She nods in front of him

"Monday is the start of our exam week so zero interruptions ok? No dates no soccer no Wooyoung or Yeonjun just English, English is your girlfriend/boyfriend ok?" Si-ah said

He slouches "Yes ma'am."

"Ok Lucas is ____ a cup of tea

A) Drink

B) Drinking

C) Drink

D) Drank

Which one is it?" She read the question

"B, drinking a cup of tea," San said

"Good, our next one is a word, in the passage given you need to find words from the passage which match the word given in the question," She said

She looks at him to see if he was paying attention to her explanation. San had his chin rested on top of his hand, his eyes squinting as if it would make it better.

"For example, the word given is Happy, in the passage you need to find a word that matches it, Here you go Elated means happy," She highlights the word

"Go on, fill in the answers and I'll go through it," She said

San nods as he began answering.  

As Si-ah was doing her own paper she notices San scratching his head, saying "huh!?" From time to time and moving his ring up and down.

She places her hand over his left. Surprised, San looks at her "I know I said zero interruptions and blah blah but you need to stay calm whenever you are in the exam room or else you will forget everything."

San just stayed quiet 

"I'll go grab some snacks to calm you down a bit," She stood up from her side and went down to her stairs 

He looks at his left-hand checking if she saw his tattoo, "Phew, I don't think she saw it."

He places his hand over his chest "Does your heart normally beat like this around your soulmate?" San mumbled 

"I want to tell her but I don't know how, she's already avoiding our telepathic talks."

"I can always just show her my tattoo but Monday is our exam, I don't want it to affect her." 

💡San has an idea, he opens the door and walks near the stairs to see Si-ah carrying a small tray of snacks "Soul-ly," He telepathically called

She stops her steps

"Let's meet up," He said

Caught off guard, she drops the tray on the floor. San quickly runs down the stairs and picks up the tray, back to reality Si-ah squats down to pick up the rest of the snacks.

"What was that?" Her mother comes in

"Sor- "That was me, Si-ah told me I got an A for the paper she marked," He looks at her

She nods "Yes he got an A for the first time," She said

Her mom furrowed but nonetheless, she goes back to her room

"What happened?" Pretending, San asked as they began walking back to her room

"J-just my soulmate, they want me to meet up," Si-ah said

"Which is ridiculous, they could just give me words that have the first letter of their name," She said

"I mean maybe they just wanted to see your face and that you should see their face?"

"They already know how I look like," She opens her room door

"So? I think it's only fair for you to see how they look like," San said

"Hmm then maybe I should," She said as they both sat down

"Will you-", "Are you done? I should mark your paper," She said

He clears his throat "Umm yeah I'm done," He gives her the paper

She looks through the paper, and she nods looking proud "This is good, continue what I told you and you'll pass your exam." 

San smiles "Okay," He softly said

"Ahh, are you going to meet your soulmate?" San asked
