That's Funny Because The Moon Landing Was Faked

A few hours later, I was walking down towards camp. I was planning on going to the gym to help relieve of this tension I can't seem to get rid of no matter what I tried. I ended up walking down right when Armin was finishing the same welcome speech he gave last week. He led them over to Jean where he just introduced himself with less enthusiasm than he did the first time.

I coincidentally ended up walking with the group towards the gym. Jean didn't give me a second glance as I passed by him. That was ok, he could take his time and be angry with me, because tomorrow I was going to make my grad gesture to get his forgiveness. I decided to take Eren's advice and leave him alone.

I put my ear buds in and started to play my music to drown out Armin answering any questions that were being asked of him.

We got to the gym and I waited for Eren and Annie's introductions to be over before I started up the steps. I caught Armin blowing Annie a kiss as he led the group to the lake, and she quickly turned away from him to hide her blushing cheeks.

I saw Eren nudge her with his elbow and say something to embarrass her more as I opened the gym door. I put my phone into my lavender colored skort pocket that was underneath the skirt flap, and pulled it up to adjust it so that it fit better.

I claimed an elliptical trainer in the deserted area and got to work. It felt good to put my muscles to work, I could feel them getting stiff, and after warming up my body for fifteen minutes on the machine, I could feel that burning in my lungs that I welcomed as a distraction from my mind.

Eren and Annie had already came back inside. Annie was flipping through the channels of the tv in the gym and Eren was lifting free weights behind his back, trying to get his workout in before one of the guests could possibly walk in.

I saw the door open out of the corner of my eyes and Armin walked in. His eyes immediately went to Annie and he smiled. I assumed he was done giving the tour.

He took off his green baseball cap, pressed his palms on the counter, and leaned forward to kiss her forehead. He put his hat back on as he pulled away from her and faced Eren who had approached him. Eren leaned a hand against the counter as they spoke.

Eren said something and Armin nodded his head towards the door and Eren nodded in understanding. I decided not to eavesdrop on their conversation because last time I did, it didn't work out for me in the long run, so I decided to mature and learn my lesson.

I kept my eyes on the television. Annie had stopped slipping when Armin walked in, leaving it on some kind of game show.

I slowed the machine down to a stop and hopped off, my legs beginning to burn. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around, pulling out an earbud. Eren was behind me.

"Yes?" I asked as I breathed through my mouth, trying to extinguish the fire in my lungs.

"Come have dinner with us." he said.

I tilted my head and blinked at him. I glanced at Armin and Annie behind him and they were watching me. Armin was giving me a reassuring smile and a thumbs up, while Annie just looked indifferent. I looked back to Eren's green eyes and the dark brown hair that hung in them. He used a hand to push them out of the way as he waited for me to respond to him.

I started to get excited. A group of people were willing to accept me regardless of how I was, but the excitement quickly faded when I remembered why I shouldn't have dinner with them.

"Is that a good idea?" I asked.

He shrugged, "It's a yes or no question." he told me.

"I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. What if Jean-"
