Ok, so for my 20th chapter I wanted to do something special... Like put in a random one-shot NaLu. So here I go!
[Special Chapter- from a new point of view, or from a different point in time]
[One Shot- the story/plot in this chapter is completely separate from the main story]
Natsu
"LUSHEEEE!" I burst through the guild doors, looking for my favorite blonde. When I spot her sitting at the bar, I rush over and throw one arm around her. "Are you busy right now?" She spits out her drink in surprise.
"No, Natsu. I'm not busy. But please try to refrain from surprising someone while they're in the middle of sipping their drink!" I hear Mirajane laugh a little, but ignore it. Lucy now has her hands on her hips. "I mean, what if I'd choked?"
"Then I would have saved you." I say, matter of factly. Suddenly, Lucy's face gets red. "Luce? Are you ok? Your face is all red."
"O- oh, is it! I- I guess I'm not feeling too well..." Lucy starts fanning her face.
"Are you going home?" I ask, disappointed.
"I guess not... why?"
"PLAY WITH ME!" I drag out like a little kid. What can I say? I'm a child at heart.
"W- what?"
"Luce, play a game with me! Or I think I may go on a fiery rampage!" I start to drool fire, almost lighting the bar up. Mira laughs again, this time louder.
"Might as well go play, Lucy. We don't want the guild in flames again." She winks at Lucy, who rolls her eyes.
"Ok Natsu, let's go." I grab her hand before she could protest, and drag Lucy out of the guild. I stop when we get to the park.
"Let's play a game!" I repeat.
"Umm ok... how about hide and seek? You close your eyes, and I'll hide." Lucy fidgets with her hair, and won't meet my eyes, but I don't know why. I just decide to agree with her game, and close my eyes. I sit on the ground and begin to count, feelings the wind and the grass. The pollen flying around does mix up the scents around me, but I can pick out Lucy's easily. She has a very specific, flowery scent that always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. It seems to fill my nose whenever I'm around her, and clouds my brain. Like when I sneak into her house. Her pillows and blankets smell so strongly of her scent. Her comfortable bed... and don't even get me started on her bathroom. All those soaps!

Lucy
I heard Natsu start counting, so I slowly backed away. Finding a nice tree, I started to climb the lower branches, while keeping an eye on him. Natsu actually looks pretty peaceful for once, I can't help but notice. His eyes are closed, and he's facing the wind. His pink locks are blown out of his face, and he has a gentle smile.
"I wonder what he's thinking about..." I whisper to myself. I keep staring at his face from a distance, admiring his features. I couldn't help it but blush when he made that comment back at the guild.
Then I would have saved you.
Something about that really touched me, and I could feel Mira's eyes burning into my skull. But Natsu's so dense that he believed me when I said I felt sick. After a while, I realize that Natsu stopped counting. Lowering myself down from the tree, I walk over to where he's sitting.
"Natsu?" I ask quietly. No response. I crouch down and gently push his shoulder. He falls back immediately, eyes closed, openly snoring. I silently laugh to myself. Scooping him up in my arms (I don't know whether or not I'm suddenly strong, or he's just lighter than expected), I carry him out of the park.
Walking over to my apartment, I lay him down on my bed. He starts to smile, as he snuggles up into my blankets. I sit on the floor next to the bed and stare at his face.
"Natsu, you're such a doof." His grin seems to get wider, and I smile. "But I love you anyways." I gently brush back his pink locks, and kiss his forehead. Blushing scarlet red, I stand up and walk towards my door. Faintly, I hear Natsu mutter to himself.
"Good night, my Lucy..."

Edit: Lmao y'all have dirty minds. I know "play with me" can be inappropro, but like if there was a ;) next to it. In the context it's totally just Natsu being a fool 😂
