~Chapter Seven~

Steve POV: (Ik new pov, so exciting)

I offered to drive her back home and the whole way back we talk about our lives, make jokes, and even gossip a bit. It's just like how we were in 8th grade. I miss those times. I feel bad for the way I've been with her these past few years, I should've never left her.

"Hey. Listen I just wanna say I'm sorry" I say. "For what?" she asks. "For everything, for becoming a douche, for being mean to you and your friends, and most importantly for breaking our friendship. I truly miss hanging out with you. Surprisingly you can be fun and not annoying y/n Driver" I say.

"Yeah, I guess you can be okay sometimes to Steve Harrington" she replies with a giggle. God I miss her cute giggle. Wait. No. I can't think that. I'm with Nancy and y/n's well somewhat with Johnathan. I park my car in front of her house, it looks the same like it did in 8th grade. I look at her and see her looking back at me, we hold eye contact for a bit till she breaks it saying thank you for the ride home. I tell her it's no problem and right before I drive away she asks if I want to come inside.

I ponder for a minute. Should I? I want to, and I could spend more time with her. But should I go check up on Nancy? Nah, she has Johnathan after all. I tell her yes and I turn off my car before following her inside.

She opens the front door and we're greeted by a cute Australian Shepherd who she introduces me to. "Steve this is p/n, p/n this is Steve" she says. I kneel down and pet her dog. "Hi p/n, nice to meet you" I say to the dog. She walks to the kitchen and feeds
p/n before offering me a drink and snack.

"I made chocolate chip cookies earlier because I was bored, want some" she asks me. "Uh is Indiana Jones the best movie ever" I say as a rhetorical question. She goes silent and looks at me. "No, no the best movie ever is the Outsiders" she says back. "It was a rhetorical question, your supposed to say yes and go along with it" I say. "But you're wrong, the Outsiders is the best" she argues back.

We continue the bickering for a bit till I say in a whiny tone, "Fine, fine. The Outsiders is the best, can I have the cookies now?" She laughs and hands me a cookie. I bite into it and my mouth explodes with flavor. She's such a great cook, everything she makes it's so delicious. She laughs at my awe struck face. "Enjoying the cookie" she says with a laugh. "Damn straight" I agree.

We then go to her couch and we talk for a bit longer before I check the time. It's almost 8. "I guess I should go" I say, kind of hoping for her to beg me to stay. I had a lot of fun hanging out with her, she definitely is a lot easier to talk to then my other friends, all of them are just airheads and act like assholes.

"Ok, we'll feel free to stop by anytime. I had a lot of fun talking with you" she says with a smile. God her smile just made me melt. Wait, no. I'm with Nancy. What am I thinking? "Yeah, thank you for having me and I'm sorry again, for everything" I say back. I give her a smile before leaving. I walk back to my car and all I can think about is her. Jesus what is this girl doing to me?

I decide to go check up on Nancy since I haven't seen her since earlier this afternoon. I drive over to her house and see her bedroom light on. So I hop out of my car and take my normal route I go on to get to her room. When I reach her window I look through it and see her sitting, back towards me. She's just sitting there... with Johnathan.

I feel rage boiling up in me. Maybe my thoughts were right earlier. When I heard that her and Johnathan had left the funeral I was suspicious but decided to just give them the benefit of the doubt and push those thoughts away thinking Nancy wouldn't do that... but I was wrong. She WOULD do that. This is proof. She's sitting there with him in her bed and his arm is wrapped around her.

I hope off her roof and storm over to my car slamming my door shut when I get in. I speed off just trying to burn off some rage. Wait till y/n finds out too. I'm gonna make both of them pay. If it's the last thing I do.

AN: Once again sorry for the short chapter but I really like this one, I thought it was a little cute Steve and y/n moment
