It was already the day of the wedding. I put on my tuxedo after putting on my polo and buttoning it. I was looking at myself in the mirror, combing my hair and brushing my teeth at the same time. I feel like I’m late so I have to multitask a lot. When I put on my shoes, I looked for the rose that was supposed to be pinned on my left chest area on the tuxedo but I couldn’t find it. I was looking for it while putting on my glasses so I could see clearly what I am looking at.

“Axton, let’s go. The wedding is about to start in like a few minutes, hurry,” I heard Kelsey outside my door. I yelled to her to give me a minute to find the rose. She stopped knocking and I found it. Good thing it wasn’t crushed or anything. I pinned it on my left chest area and went outside. She was wearing a pink dress. The bridesmaids have a color code. The maid of honor wears pink while the second blue, the third one yellow, and the fourth one red so that no one would wear white in a wedding.

“OMG, babes. You look beautiful,” I said to her. She walked with me towards the venue. It was magnificent and it was almost sunset, 3PM so they will probably kiss in the middle of sunset. It was probably the best way though because it will be golden hour when they kiss.

“Hi, Brianna,” I said to Brianna. She was the one I will be with when walking to the sides will start. So, basically, she will be next to me. Good thing I know the person that I will be walking with or I might say something awkward and would ruin it.

I was standing next to all the bachelors. I was talking to Kelsey who was right next to me. I was looking for the bride, Mikaela. She was nowhere to be seen. “Okay everyone, places. The bride’s gone,” the organizer said. We were all shocked and I volunteered to find her. Kelsey helped too and we just need to know where she might be hiding. She wasn’t in the room and no one has seen her get out of the room. It would be noticeable if she was wearing the gown already. We looked for her in the cottage and she was there, crouched over and crying. I knew what happened. It’s bride terror. Every bride has experienced it and it is not going to be easy getting out of the bride’s terror. It is mostly impossible and it would be cancelling the wedding off will be the result of it.

“Hey, why are you crying?” I asked her. I gave her a tissue so she could blow her nose on. Her make up was smudged so I asked Kelsey to take the make up crew here, call them and we will be out in a few minutes.

“I just don’t know Ax. I read a lot of weddings and saw lots of couples ending in divorce. My parents divorced and I don’t know, it’s just that I think I’m not making the right choice. Maybe I am, but I feel like I’m not. It’s not him, it’s me. I feel like I’m not ready for this grown up stuff,” she said. She wiped her eyes with another tissue, completely wiping out her whole wakeup. Good thing it didn’t reach her bridal gown and it would have been disastrous for a wedding with a stained wedding dress.

“Hey hey, you are not your parents. There’s a guy, out there, that loves you and is waiting for you to say I do in front of all the people you know. He needs you and you need him. You are perfect for each other. I saw how you wanted everything to be perfect but you need to remember that a wedding isn’t perfect without love and the couple,” I said. She hugged me and I calmed her down. Kelsey arrived with the make-up crew. I told her to wait for a moment and not let the crew enter.

“Are you ready? Is it okay for you to continue the wedding? We can postpone it if you want,” I asked her. She wanted to continue the wedding. There was a huge mirror in front of her so she just needed make-up. I let the make-up crew enter as she fixed her hair. “Please, don’t be harsh on her. She had a very tough time dealing,” I asked the lead of the make-up crew. She nodded and started fixing her hair. We rushed back to the venue and told them what happened, spared no detail but not to scare the groom.

“Thaddeus, you should go back to the front. It would only take a few minutes for her to be fully in make-up, right?” Collei asked me. I nodded. Thaddeus came back in front of the venue. He was standing and I know he was jittering all over. We were forming a line but before I could be right next to Brianna, someone stopped me. It was Stephanie. She was wearing a red dress that really captured her aura completely. I don’t know what to say to her. It has been 10 years since I last saw her. Since I last saw what she did.

“Axton, I’m sorry. I really just want to say sorry for what happened 10 years ago. I hope you can forgive me,” she told me. I was stunned. Should I accept her apology or should I stick with being her nemesis till the end of time? I hated her for 10 years and now she is apologizing to me. I feel like a complete buffoon and I feel like if I say no, I’m a bad person. So, I did what a good Samaritan always does. Do the right thing and be justified and stick to it.

“Ok, I forgive you,”
