Chapter 9

*Rose POV*

I looked up to see Daddy and Uncle Ricky yelling at the group of boys bullying me. I quickly stood up and bolted as fast as I could towards some nearby woods. I couldn't see very well as my vision was blured by tears, I wiped my eyes and bloody nose and ran.

I was running for what felt like hours. My lungs burned bad from exhaustion so I sat by a nearby tree to catch my breath.

'Why does everyone hate me?' I thought, 'what did I do to make everyone be so mean to me?' I sat with my back agenst the tree and lowered my head to my knees sobbing.

*Jimmy POV*

After me and Ricky were done with the boys I noticed that Rosie was gone. Panic rushed through my system as I quickly scanned in all directions. No sign of my daughter anywhere.

"Whoa," Ricky said causing my attention to snap towards him "what's got you so worked up Jimmy?" He asked confused.

"Rose is gone Ricky." I told him, "my scanner isn't picking up her location." I said.

"Don't worry Jimmy, we'll find her." Ricky said placing a hand on my shoulder.

*Rose POV (having a nightmare)*

I was running as fast as I could through dark woods. The only thing I could hear was screams coming from behind me. I didn't dare turn around.

"Come back here you little brat!" I heard a man yell. I ignored him and kept running.

I then tripped over a tree root that was sticking out of the ground. I fell and tried to push myself back up but was knocked down by a foot hitting my ribs. I covered my ribs with my hand and fell on my side turning on my back. I looked up to see a shadow standing over me.

"There you are." It said as it grabed me by my hair roughly and pulled me up. "Thought you could get away from me, huh?" The dark figure said as its face came into view. It was my first daddy.

I tried to get away from him but he slapped me across the face.

"You aren't getting away this time freak!" He said through gritted teeth.

He went to hit me again and I woke up.

(End of nightmare)

I woke up scared. It felt so real. 'I want Daddy, where is he?' I thought as I started to cry again.

*Jimmy POV*

I told everyone that Rosie was missing and Commander split us up into groups to go find her. I was getting dark out so I turned on my night vision. Ricky, Bones, and I went one way into the woods as Commander, Crash and Camp Councillor Jewel went another. All I could think about was finding my daughter.

Bones and Ricky called out her name as I scanned in every direction agian.

'Where are you baby girl?' I thought.

*Crash POV*

We've been walking in the woods for what felt like hours until I got tired of walking but I didn't show it. Commander and Camp Councillor Jewel kept calling out Rose's name.

"It's getting dark." Commander said as he stopped walking placing his hands on his hips defeated. "It will be hard to see anything soon, maybe we should turn back." He said which angered me for some reason.

"No!" I yelled as I pushed Commander forward. "We can't just give up on Rose like that! She means way to much to the team, especial to Jimmy. I'm not giving up yet but if you're to scared to find her than fine!" I said getting in Commander's face, he had a frightened expression on his face. "Get out of my way!" I said glaring daggers through him.

He was way to frightened to move so I shoved him out of my way and kept walking calling out for Rose.

*Commander POV*

Man I've never seen Crashie so angry before. His power didn't even trigger either. I just stood there frozen as I watvhed Crash walk on with Jewel behind him. She gave me a 'sorry' look when she passed me.

"I'm n...not sc..scared!" I mummbled to myself as I jogged to catch up with my search party.

*Bones POV*

I summoned The Dude and told her to help us find Rose. The Dude was our last hope to find her as it was getting harder and harder to see in the growing darkness.

"Come on, come on, please find Rose The Dude." I murrmurr to myself.

Shortly after we hear a screeching comming from the right of us. Ricky sped over and yelled for me and Jimmy to follow.

"What is it Ricky?" I ask while Jimmy and I ran in the direction Ricky's voice came from.

"It's Rose!" Jimmy yelled running past me. I sped up trying to catch up.

"Rosie!" I heard Jimmy yell as I caught up. Jimmy stood up holding Rose close to his chest.

"Don't EVER run off like that again Rose.  You almost gave us all a heart attack kid!" Ricky said as he rubbed Rose's back. She had her face burried in Jimmy's neck.

I smiled and watched as Jimmy rocked and bounced her soothingly in his arms.

*Back at camp*

It was pitch black outside as we made it out of the woods. The team regrouped and found our way out.

Rose was dead asleep in Jimmy's arms so he layed her down in my bed I layed down next to her. The others got in bed and Jimmy stayed in the room intensely watching Rose.

"Jimmy, it's ok. I got her." I told him as I rubbed Rose's back softly. He nodded and left the room. He really loves this kid no doubt about that. I looked at the small girl cuddling into my chest and drifted off to sleep.
