The Youngest Aquabat

Chapter 4

*Rose POV*

     I love the man who everyone calls 'Jimmy', he's like a daddy to me. I never got to hug my real daddy or mommy because they were always mean to me. My mommy poured boiling water down my throat so I wouldn't scream.

     "How old are you Rose?" Ricky asked causing me to come out of my thoughts and off of Dad- I mean Jimmy's chest.

     I took the note pad and pen and wrote the number 12. I showed him and he and the others gasped. I looked at them confused.

     "Where are your parents?". Ricky asked again, man he has a lot of questions.

     'They didn't want me anymore.' I wrote.

     "Why?"

     'I don't know, they were mean to me.'

     "Mean how?"

     'Daddy would hit me and say bad words to me and Mommy poured boiling water down my throat.'

     "That is no way to treat a child." Jimmy said causing me to look at him.

     "You're right Jimmy, let's find Rose's parents and give them a piece of our mind." Commander said.

     "Where would we even start if we do search for her parents Commander?" Bones asked.

     "I don't know, but we can find them, we are the Aquabats." Commander said confident.

     'I don't want to find my parents, they can die for all I care.' I wrote.

     "Rose! That's not very nice!" Bones said.

     'Well, they were never nice to me. This is payback for all of the abuse.' I wrote.
