Scarlet arrives at the King-to-be's office, she stands at the mahogany door for a moment contemplating her decision before slowly reaching her hand up to knock. She stands in the passageway waiting for only a few minutes before the door is gently swung open. Behind the door, as she expected, is Ben, who is very surprised when he sees the teen standing there, "Uuh... Hi, Scarlet. What are you doing here?" He grins. "Hello, Ben. I'm here to ask you something." She hesitates. The Prince looks even more surprised, "Anything! What do you need?"

The girl holds the letter in her hands, crumpling it slightly, "I know you don't do postal service to the Isle but, I was wondering if you could get this to my father." She hands Ben the letter. The brunette looks at her and then the paper in his grip. He hesitates, "Um... yeah, you know, I'll see what I can do." Scarlet nods and replies with a monotone, "Thank you." Before swirling around to leave. Ben looks at her back as her figure becomes more distant, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

By the time Scarlet gets back, Carlos is sitting on the floor on his computer. He looks up to her, "Hey, girl. Where've you been?"
"

To Bennyboo's office." She replies, mockingly. Carlos looks back at his laptop, "Oooh, causing trouble already, huh? So bad." Scarlet rolls her eyes and flops on her bed. Not soon after, Evie comes through the door, fabrics in hand. She sits at the table as she unfolds the materials. Scarlet looks up from her spot on her bed.
"Evie, can we talk?" The teen doesn't look at her, "I don't think there's anything to talk about." Scarlet huffs at her behaviour. Carlos looks up from his laptop, "Uhh... what's going on here?" he asked in a curious and worried tone. "None of your business!"

Scarlet snaps. This makes Evie look up from her work,
"Oh, so now you're yelling at our friends?"

"Wha-" Scarlet snaps her head to the girl, "No! I'm simply telling him to mind his own. Why are you acting so childish?"
"

Childish?!" Evie gasps, "I'm sorry but, I'm not the one who can't commit herself to anyone." The two others look at each other then at the scene before them in worry. Scarlet and Evie have never argued before. Ever. "Oooh ho ho ho, no. No! You can't be pulling that card on me when your only commitment is digging gold!"
Scarlet snaps. Evie gasps, shock on her face. She gets up from her seat causing it to screech and almost fall over. Tears well in her eyes as she looks at the girl she had kissed only hours ago. She runs past all of them and out of the room. Carlos and Mal look at Scarlet with shock. Carlos was more confused than anything.

Scarlet sighs, "Ugh..." She groans under her breath, before taking off after her. "Um... what was that?" Carlos looks up at Mal. The girl simply shrugs. Scarlet catches a glimpse of blue flash into the communal bathroom. She quickly follows after it. "Evie, come on!"
S

he tries the handle but it's locked. Scarlet sighs as she slides up against the door, "Eves? Evie, I know I messed up. I know. I'm s- I'm... sorry, okay?" There is no response from the other girl, just
"What is this really about? Is it because I said we aren't together?"
silence. Scarlet sighs, "Evie, we aren't going to get anywhere if we communicate like this. Just open the door." Another silence takes over them. Scarlet is about to get up and leave when, the door creaks open. Scarlet pushes the door open completely and standing over the sink is Evie, her makeup all smudged from the excessive crying.

Scarlet fully enters the bathroom closing the door behind her. She cautiously steps forward, "Listen, Evie, sorry for saying we weren't together but... well we aren't really, are we?" Evie's sniffles, "Well, I thought we were." Scarlet lets out a small scoff,

"We kissed once."
"Twice!" Evie corrects. "Okay, twice. But, how was I supposed to know that makes us a couple?" Evie stops her sniffling for a second, "Okay, yeah, that's true. But how come you were so defensive?" This makes Scarlet pause. Why had she been so defensive? "We were with company. We don't know what Auradons feelings are on this." Evie looks down for a moment, her eyes filled with thought. It takes a little while for the girl to raise her head to look at her. Their eyes meet, vibrant green meets light caramel. The undertones of the bluehead's eyes are even more apparent underneath the yellow light of the brightly painted bathroom.

Evie's red lips part for a moment before stuttering out, "Yeah. You're right. You were just trying to protect us is all. I'm sorry."
Scarlet let out a long sigh placing her hands on her shoulders, her thumb brushing back and forth. "It's fine, I'm... sorry. I should have been more clear about us." Scarlet never apologised, ever. The only time she did was to her father when he got upset with her. Evie knew she was sorry, truly. Their moment is interrupted by boots approaching the bathroom. Both girls look up and make eye contact with their purple-haired friend. "Hey, guys, are you oka..." She starts but quickly stops, her mouth in an 'o' shape. "I see. Okay, I'll just... go to the dorm." Mal slowly turns around and leaves.BScarlet and Evie turn their heads back to face each other, a moment of silence surpasses them. Evie suddenly lets out small giggles while, Scarlet softly snorts.

"Come on, let's go. Carlos will get suspicious." The black-haired girl jokes, Evie nods, "Yeah." Turning the corner, Evie follows, Scarlet heads back down the hall shoving past the other students.

"Move!" Evie giggling at the girl's wicked behaviour.
