I saw my friends say something to the popular group, they would laugh, and vice-versa. I was so surprised and disappointed. Why would my friends be hanging out with the same gang that hurt us so much? That ruined our self-esteem? I decided to investigate. I got out of the car. "Bye Mom," I shouted at her. I walked up to the table they were at before I heard a reply. It was mainly girls like Morgan, Ayushi, Trinity, Brittany, Annika, and of course, Olivia, although there were a couple of boys like Charles, Hamilton, and Carson. If they were planning something sneaky, they certainly knew how to do it. They knew my weaknesses and ways to hurt me, because my friends were my strengths. The Jerkwad smiled at me. "What's up, Aspen? I don't think you ever got my name. I'm Chris," he said in an almost too friendly way. I sat down with caution, just in case he pulled the chair out from under me...you can never be too careful. Natalie and Emma scowled at me. "Ugh just sit down already, Aspen. We don't bite," Emma said. Natalie winked at me. God, they have a weird way of expressing disgust, I thought. It was silent for a moment. Finally, Hamilton broke the silence. "Anyway...they're making the pizzas now, so they should be here any minute." He then smiled. "Great! Thanks. Olivia I need to talk to you." I said. She frowned and said, "Ok, but-" I yanked her arm and cut her off bearing my teeth. "It's really important." I made my way to the bathroom and dragged her in before checking each stall making sure there was nobody in there. "Aspen! What was that about? Ever heard of manners? They were being really nice!"
"Yeah! Ever heard of 'kill them with kindness'?!" I shot back. "Really? I think they're actually trying. They seem really cool behind that stupid façade!" She sighed the last sentence. "Ok, ok, fine. I'll try to get along.," I agreed. We then ran back out to find two large, warm pizzas.

Trinity's POV
I couldn't believe I was actually going to dinner with the popular group...on top of that, Carson was going. "I don't think I can do it," I told Annika. "I might have a heart attack." She looked at me and put her hand on my shoulder. "You've got this. Plus, there's going to be more people than them and Carson." I thought for a minute while she went through my closet searching for something that she was probably going to ask to borrow. I finally said something to break the silence. "Yeah! You know what? Who cares what he thinks of me? Who cares what anyone thinks?!" Without turning around, she said, "Yeah! That's the spirit...can I borrow your blue tank top?" I agreed. Deep down I knew I cared though. I sighed. "Let's go now." I said.

I got there and everybody was already there except for Aspen. I tried to start conversation and be myself, but the popular group had the spotlight. I guess it's appropriate since they were the ones to invite us, but I still tried. Aspen (FINALLY) arrived. I knew she felt uncomfortable, but everybody was actually pretty cool. No one was mean...yet. She then pulled Olivia into the bathroom. I really needed to talk to her, so I waited until she came out, but the food came. We all kind of talked for a while and ate, but I still really needed to talk to her. Carson was sitting at the opposite side of the table looking cute as always, and I accidentally let out a sigh. Carson turned his attention towards me and I just looked up and saw the waiter serving someone else so I did the first thing that came to my mind. "That waiter is really...good-looking." I said. God, I was so stupid! Smooth, Trin, I thought. Ugh! I pulled Aspen up and walked her to the corner. "Oh my gosh! I can't believe I said that! I was actually staring at Carson," I whispered, "was it obvious?" She nodded. We both walked back to the table and neither of us talked for the rest of the time. Can I get a vote for Trinity's POV? Yay!
