Shieldy HCs

Some of this is kinda object biology stuff but whatever

- Sleeps in a racecar bed!! And plays with toy cars! And wants to be a racecar driver when he gets older. He gets better at driving I swear- (Yes I'm doubling down on the whole 'likes cars' thing. No I do not care-)

- Loves giving hugs to friends!! He's canonically affectionate ("will always do everything he can to show others he loves them" -official DA bio) with people he loves so this is supported >:D

- I do have a hc backstory for him (see Prince Knight AU) but that's not a main headcanon, per se? I use it a lot, but it's still an AU. Just wanted to clarify that lol

- Dog person

- Full name is Shieldy Metal Reflection (WHEN WILL MY REFLECTION SHOW, WHO I AM INSIDEEEEE-). (Headcanon by Dancer)

- 'Shields' is his nickname and he likes it 👍 It's only really Party Hat and Chocolatey who calls him by that though.

- Shields like him get scars/scratches and stuff as they experience life, but it isn't that noticeable. Shieldy has quite a few of these from being reckless or whatever and he's pretty proud of them lmao ("and this one is from when I fell out of a tree!")

- Generally warm temperature-wise, but is subject to temperature change. He'll burn up or get really cold if left in those respective temperatures for too long. He won't die from it, but it's still uncomfortable.

- Even though he's good at deflecting stuff, it's not a good idea for him to just be hit all the time bc of possible concussions and whatnot. Also it, yknow, hurts.

- Prone to electrocution, unfortunately :') Was hit by lightning once and it wasn't a fun time. Now he's jumpy whenever lightning and thunderstorms happen aaa :(

- Another property of (some) metal; he's ferromagnetic (attracted to magnets). So if there happens to be a large magnet in the area, he needs to watch out lol. Alternatively, he can stick magnets to himself and thinks it's funny.

- He can't swim well since he's a heavy object, so he uses floaties while swimming :]

- Considers most of the BOTO cast as an extended family of sorts
     -Party Hat and Boombox are older brothers
     -Pizza is a dad friend/older brother
     -Hot Dog is a mom friend/second dad/older brother
     -Slurpy, Chocolatey, and Popsicley are older sisters
     -Boat is an aunt
     -Baguette is an uncle (loosely)

- In a school AU, he's on the soccer and ice hockey teams along with Scissors. They hang out often and have an older sister/younger brother dynamic.

- Plays Minecraft with Boat lol

- Makes cartoon squeaky sounds if you throw him (please don't throw him). Also that was more of a joke than anything but he does have very squishable cheeks.

- Likes mints and mint chocolate chip ice cream!! (This comes from Shieldy being inspired by a mint container that looks like the hylian shield)

Uhhh I think that's it for now. Guys I literally love Shieldy sm I think he's an actual comfort character for me. Such a good and pure boy (casually ignores all the Shieldy angst I have) <33
