My back arched like a cat, my position couldn't stop you were hitting it. ~ The Weeknd

The giant silver blade slashed down upon me. My body stilled, frozen, and unable to escape. This time the tip aimed farther up than from my leg.

"NO!" I sit up in bed. Thrashing the sheets off of me I look at the gnash Jessie left on my thigh. It looks bigger than what I remember. Dried blood surrounded it from under the huge bandaid on my skin.

I look around the room, the four walls I sleep in becoming more familiar. My eyes drift down to the mop of hair sitting on the edge of my bed.

A small grin touches my lips, I run my fingers through the dark locks of his hair. "Vic," I whispered into his ear.

He stirs, his grey eyes meeting mine. His eyebrows raise and he sits up straight, looking around the room himself. He sighs, dragging his hands down his face.

"Hi," I tilt my head.

"Where the hell were you the past two days?" He blurted. Do you know how worried we were? How many people were looking for you?" He spoke angrily.

"Wow, so this is the welcome back I get this time," I said, a little taken back. I winced as a wave of pain ran through my head.

He stopped glaring, hovering his hands over my head. "Sorry. The doctor said not to move too much to prevent more pain and nausea."

I cleared my throat, "you see...funny thing is I was kidnapped?" He blinked.

It felt so weird saying, I mean this has never happened to me, less much than from a teenage girl. I see these types of situations on crime shows all the time. My mom and aunt love to binge-watch them in the middle of the night. I always thought they were crazy for it.

"By who?"

I laughed humorlessly, "the only other girl you let in this house."

A mix of emotions formed on his face, the last one going from betrayal to anger. His jaw ticked twice. "That doesn't make any sense why would she-"

"Because she's obsessed with you! That's why! Jessie stabbed me over that stupid cut under your eye. She's deranged. She needs help. Not to mention that creepy brother of hers." I cringed shivers running down my spine. Any longer down there and I don't know what would become of me.

I sighed harshly when I felt water start to blur my vision. A sob left my mouth as I was pulled into his chest. I wasn't even sad, just frustrated about this whole situation. His lips repeatedly kissed my hair. "Shh, you're okay." He coaxed, rubbing my back. "I'm here now."

His thumbs skimmed over my cheeks, wiping the tears away. "I'm going to go get your mom and tell her you're awake. Stay in bed." He ordered, standing up. I nodded my head as he left the room. His scent lingered in his vacant spot.

A minute later my mom rushed through the door, wrapping me in a warm hug. "Aniya I was so worried, I almost passed out when I heard you were missing." She pulled back, wiping her eyes. "And when Victor came back with you and bruises all over your face I almost lost it."

I wiped my eyes as well, "I'm sorry I caused you to worry mom. I didn't know-"

"It's okay, Victor told me. She's not going to get away with this, Kendall and I have some of the best lawyers, we will put her ass in jail. I promise you that." She squeezed my hand, comfort and compassion running through her veins.

For the next few days, I was stuck in bed. The Simons family doctor would stop by to check up on me. She made sure I was getting enough nutrients into my body and that my head was doing okay. By Thursday I was cleared to go back to school. People talked of course but that's not what bothered me.
