Chapter 3: Killer

~~Season 1 Episode 3: Pack Mentality~~

~~Stiles~~

Scott and I are entering the school. He's telling me a dream he had where he potentially killed Allison and I ask, "So you killed her?" 

Scott tells me "I don't know. I just woke up. And I was sweating like crazy, and I couldn't breathe. I've never had a dream where I woke up like that before." 

I say slightly surprised "Really? I have. Usually ends a little differently." Scott states "A," I meant I've never had a dream that felt that real, and "B," never give me that much detail about you in bed again." 

I then say "Noted. Let me take a guess here . . ." Scott then says "No, I know, you think it has something to do with me going out with Allison tomorrow, like I'm gonna lose control and rip her throat out." 

I tell him "No, of course not. Yeah, that's totally it. Hey, come on, it's gonna be fine, all right? Personally, I think you're handling this pretty freakin' amazingly. You know, it's not like there's a lycanthropy for beginners class you can take." 

He admits "Yeah, not a class, but maybe a teacher." I tell him, my voice lacing with distaste "Who, Derek?" 

I slap Scott upside the head continuing "Are you forgetting the part where we got him tossed in jail?" Scott tells me "Yeah, I know, but chasing her, dragging her to the back of the bus, it felt so real." 

I ask feeling a bit unnerved "How real?" Scott answers as we approach the door "Like it actually happened." 

We exit the doors to see a bus covered in blood as well as the back door hanging by its hinges. I then say in shock and surprise "I think it did." 

I look at Scott taping by finger on my backpack strap as my nerves pick up pace at the thought of the possibility of Scott doing this. As we walk through the halls Scott tries calling or texting and I say trying to help him calm down "She's probably fine." 

Scott tells me as I can hear his heartbeat getting more erratic and faster "She's not answering my texts, Stiles." I say to try and help him calm down "It could just be a coincidence, all right? A seriously amazing coincidence." 

Scott then tells me "Just help me find her, okay? Do you see her?" I answer getting worried "No." As we walk down the hall, I can tell he's getting stressed out and he leans up against a locker punching it. 

He looks at the damage and backs away. He bumps into someone and as soon as they speak, I take a breath of relief " You scared the hell outta me." 

Scott says relief filling his voice "You're okay." Allison says unknowing to her that is exactly what Scott is witnessing "Once my heart starts beating again, yeah." 

As she bends down to pick up her books, I see Scott just continuing to stare and she asks "What?" Scott admits "I'm just happy to see you." 

Just as he finished saying that the speakers spark alive and someone says through them "Attention, students, this is your principal. I know you're all wondering about the incident that occurred last night to one of our buses. While the police work to determine what happened, classes will proceed as scheduled." 

I hear as students groan and Allison says to Scott "Save me a seat at lunch?" Scott answers "Yeah." He watches her leave and I see him look over at the locker. 

I now see Jackson at the broken locker and says to Scott whose looking at him "What are you looking at, asswipe?" Now in class Scott suggests "Maybe it was my blood on the door." 

I also suggest "Could have been animal blood. You know, maybe you caught a rabbit or something." Scott asks, "And did what?" 

I tell him "Ate it." Scott asks "Raw?" I answer sarcastically "No, you stopped to bake it in a little werewolf oven. I don't know, you're the one who can't remember anything."
