Chapter 6: Control

~~Season 1 Episode 6: Heart Monitor~~

~~Stiles~~

I'm in my chair when Scott comes in and walks over sitting in the seat directly behind me. I try to ignore him as he says Scott "Still not talking to me? Okay, can you at least tell me if your dad's, okay? It's just a bruise, right? 

Some soft tissue damage? Nothin' that big . . . You know I feel really bad about it, right? Okay. What if I told you that I'm trying to figure this whole thing out, and . . . That I went to Derek for help?" 

I perse my lips and breathe out through my nose saying "If I was talking to you, I'd say that you're an idiot for trusting him. But obviously I'm not talking to you." 

I don't say anything as the bell rings, and I lean on my desk as I go to wright when my thoughts about what Derek told him makes me instantly guilty as I turn around asking "What did he say?" 

Scott smiles and right after class I start my questions "Wha . . .  He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Scott confirms "Yeah." 

I continue with my ranting "All right, well, correct me if I'm wrong, but every time you do that, you try to kill someone, and that someone's usually me." 

Scott says sounding defeated "I know. That's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can teach me. I have to be able to control it." 

I ask "Well, how's he gonna teach you to do that?" Scott answers truthfully "I don't know. I don't think he does either." 

I then ask really thinking about this "Okay. When are you seeing him again?" Scott answers but doesn't "He told me not to talk about it. Just act normal and get through the day." 

I grab his arm asking again "When?" Scott answers this time telling me "He's picking me up at the animal clinic after work." 

I then say still wondering if this is a good idea "After work. All right, well, that gives me to the end of the school day then." Scott asks, "To do what?" 

I answer still feeling a bit upset about my dad not really wanting to be around him but whatever he needs me "To teach you myself."

~~Stiles~~

Scott and I are listening to Lydia and Allison talking about this book she has while I think of a way to help Scott. 

I think I have a good enough plan and if the first one doesn't then the second one has too. Lydia leaves and I turn from watching Lydia leave to Scott telling him " I think the book's making it more obvious. Besides, she's reading, anyway." 

Scott then asks "So, did you come up with a plan yet?" I tell him biting into my apple "I think so." Scott asks peeking up from the book he has in front of his face "Does that mean you don't hate me now?" 

I answer truthfully "No. But your crap has infiltrated my life, so now I have to do something about it. Plus, I'm definitely a better Yoda than Derek." 

Scott replies "Okay, yeah, you teach me." I correct him "Yeah, I'll be your Yoda." Scott then says "Yeah, you be my Yoda." 

I then say in my Yoda impression "Your Yoda I will be." I smirk laughing looking at Scott saying, "I said it backwards." Scott says barely letting me finish "Yeah, I . . . I know." 

I say getting fed up with his Un superior knowledge of film and everything "All right, you know what? I definitely still hate you. Uh . . . huh. Oh, yeah." 

I start gathering my stuff and close all my books then I grab my book that Scott was using to hide behind. I stand up grab my bag and rushing out hoping he's seen by her.
