Gemma's point of view:

It's been two days since the halloween party.
Two days since I kissed Steve fucking harrington or an even worse way to put it, Nancy's ex boyfriend.

Im pretty sure their break up was confirmed last night when Jonathan had secretly stayed over, they were up talking until at least three am.
And thankfully we're on break from school, otherwise I would've had to see Steve.

And that's the last thing I want right now.
I wouldn't even know what to say.
Like sorry for kissing you as a distraction so your heart wasn't shattered into pieces.

That wasn't even my decision to make I guess.
I don't know what came over me, it had to be the weed.

" Gemma, tell me you're listening?" Mom huffs.

I straighten my posture, taking the dollar notes from her hand.

" You'll be back in the morning, got it".

Dad holds Holly in one hand, his bag in the other, waiting patiently for her.

" And Mike, no friends over okay? Nancy will make sure of it" Mom kisses him on the cheek before walking out the front door.

Dad nods at the three of us, shutting the front door behind him.

" As if i'm not having friends over, that's bullshit" Mike throws his hands in the air, stomping off up the stairs.

Apparently our family loves to use the word bullshit.
It has never been top in my vocabulary.

Nancy turns to face me, chewing at her bottom lip before throwing her hands in the air.

" Okay so, I need your advice".

Pressing my lips together, I begin to fidget with the rings on my fingers.

" I think I like Jonathan, and I mean really like him. He just seems to be everything I want".

Opening my mouth to say something, when she continues.

" I just don't know. I thought I really liked Steve".

Would now be a good time to tell her I kissed him?
Probably not.
No, definitely not...
Although, It would save further issues if she finds out later from someone other than me, I just feel like she's going to-

" Gemma? Are you even listening? God you've been so out of it today" She huffs.

" Sorry, I just don't know if i'm the right person to talk to. I've never actually been in a relationship before".

She nods, crossing her arms over her chest.

" If you really like Jonathan, and he makes you happy then you should probably be with him, right?".

" Yeah, I guess so.." She smiles.
" I might go over to his tonight, will you watch Mike?".

" Uhh, yeah. I can do that" I say.

She grins, pulling me in for a tight squeeze before she grabs her keys, disappearing out the front door.

Plonking myself down on the sofa, I watch Mike walking down the stairs with his walkie talkie up to his ear.

" Just come over! It'll be fine" His head lifts to meet my gaze, dropping both arms by his side.

" Please let my friends come over, we'll stay in the basement. I swear!".
