Gemma's point of view:

I hate it here.
It's been three hours and I can't stand it.
I'd honestly rather be in school, and that's saying something.

I'm yet to see Jonathan and Nancy, though they probably got into the same cabin.
Nancy's always been good at bribing, and unfortunately she's great at lying, I suck.

Robin's lips tut together, she sips the cordial in her cup.

" This would be so much better with vodka".

" It's eight in the morning".

" Yeah, I know" She says.

I can't help but let out a giggle, she's as bad as I am.
Maybe worse, but it's nice.

The coordinator stands at the front of the hall,
wrapping up his speech... which of course, no one actually listened to.

He's saying something about respect, responsibility.
And the weekend activities,
one of them being to couple up with a senior for a partnership challenge.
Shoot me already.

Just before the coordinator can finish his sentence, a group of the seniors run out the doors.
They've basically given us a day to do whatever we want, they'll regret that.

Robin and I make our way back to the cabin, the both of us, plonking down at the end of our beds.

She begins to rummage through her bag, pulling clothes out everywhere.
I just watch her, lifting her hand up holding what looks to be a bottle of vodka.

" For the beach!" She chirps.

I just grin at her, looking for a response when there's a knock at the front door.

My eyes flick to hers, narrowing before jumping off the bed, slightly opening the door.

" Can we talk?" his voice, gentle.

" No", Attempting to shut the door, he stops it with his foot.

His eyes meet mine, this time I don't immediately look away.

" Please, Gemma. I'm sorry".

" Was last night just like a usual thing for you? To sneak into my room, tell me what I wanna hear?".

His head drops, the eye contact breaks which gives me a second to breathe,
to think.
I want answers.

" No, It wasn't-
What I said to Tommy and Carol, it was stupid.
I didn't mean any of it!
Last night was the first night I- I can't tell you enou-"

" It just sucks because I'd never done that before and-uh, just tell me what you want from me and go".

He blinks a few times.
Crossing his arms over his chest, darting his tongue out to wet his lips.

" Wait you'd never- you mean that was new to you?",
He almost whispers, "I didn't know".

His name is called in the distance,
following the annoying voice, I meet eyes with Erin.

" Your girlfriend wants you".

Before he can reply I quickly shut the door.
Hearing his footsteps disappear off the wooden floorboards, I turn to face Robin.

She stands there, her lips awkwardly pouted, as she swings her hands by her sides.

" So did you guys like sleep together or-"

"No! No. No we didn't" I begin to unpack my bag.

"Wait do you like him?!"

" No!".
