Gemma's point of view:

Steve's wide eyes meet mine, staring back at the bag.

" You fed me a hash cookie!?".

" I didn't know they were edibles, obviously!" I say.

Now thinking about it, a bag of unlabelled cookies in  Robins bag should've come off as suspicious.

" I leave you two alone for like three hours" She shovels a cookie into her mouth.

I just shrug, watching Steve struggle to stand up.
He finally gets two feet on the ground, staring down at me.

Sticking out his hand, I grab hold, as he pulls me up, I stable my feet on the sand.

" Steve!".

Our heads cock to the direction of the irritable voice.

Erin walks towards us, a drink in hand.
Is it bad I just wanna fuck her up?

" Hey Erin?" He scratches the back of his neck.

He also lets go of my hand, it drops by my side,
my eyes flick to the ground.

" Carol and Tommy are going back to the Cabins, you wanna come with?".

She's practically begging at this point,
Robin rolls her eyes at me before poking her tongue out, so I giggle.

" Is something funny?" Erin turns to me.

I laugh again, so does Robin.

" No, no nothing at all".

She scoffs, eyeing me up and down.

" Steve, come on. We're going to drink back at the cabin".

His eyes meet mine, but I quickly look away,
probably too high and anxious to lock eye contact, I hate the feeling that he might actually leave with her.

" Actually I think i'm just going to stay here, you have fun though" He says.

My eyes flick up from the ground, meeting Robins.
The smirk on her face just grows when Erin lets out an annoyed groan, turning on her heels and storming off.

" Wow, she's like a little kid!" Robin says.

Steve cocks his head to face us, my eyes feeling droopy and half open, I partly smile.

" What now, weirdos?".

" Us? We're the weirdos?" Robin laughs, we both follow behind him towards the beach exit.

A group of guys walk past us, most of them are from the football group.
Tyler passes us, his head quickly drops when Steve looks at him.

" A black eye huh?" Robin laughs.

" He deserved it" Steve says.

And then it clicks.

" Wait, did you do that to Tyler and Austin?".

I come to a halt, the both of them stop, turning to face me.

" Does it matter?" He asks.

Robin begins to chew on her lip, eyes flicking between Steve and I.

" You can't randomly just beat someone up Steve".

" Yeah well maybe they should learn to keep their mouths shut" He continues walking.

How did he know what they said?
Unless that afternoon he heard it, since his car was still there when I left.
Shit.

Walking beside Robin, we follow Steve up the path.
She hums along to an unfamiliar tune, he turns to look at us every few seconds.
