luna's eyes widen as dream's lips crashed onto hers. he was kissing her. she was too focused on processing everything that she didn't even realize the door opening.
"CLAY! MOM SAID TO-" dream pulled away quickly and both luna and dream turned to look at drista, whose hand was on her mouth. "I AM SO SORRY!"
luna turned around to hide her face. "uh... what's up?" dream tried to ignore the awkwardness and asked his sister.
"um... mom said she needs your help with something."
"okay, i'll come down in a minute." slowly, drista closed the door and dream turned to look at luna. "i'm sorry i-"
luna turned around and cut him off with an awkward smile on her face, "no no! it's fine, you should help your mom."
dream hesitated a bit before nodding. "alright, i'll... be back."

by now, she was running out the house. she didn't know where dream was but good thing no one was at the living room, she escaped. she looked around to find jen's car.
running to it, jen opened the door. "hey! so, why'd you suddenly ask me to pick you up?" she looked at luna worriedly.
"needed to get out of that hellhole. can we go to xxxx xxxx xxx? that's where i'm staying and i need to get my stuff. you guys still staying at the hotel?"
"sure sure, and actually, we're leaving tonight to go back to north carolina. why?"
"do you mind me staying with you guys for a bit?"
"i don't mind." andy, who's driving the car and jen's husband, said.
"thank you so much!"
jen knew something was up but she didn't bother asking, she thought that luna might be not ready for any questions at that moment so she stayed quiet.

as they arrived at the dream team house, luna asked for their help to get her stuff. she quickly packed up as she didn't want dream to come soon, realizing that she was gone already. she carried her bag while jen carried snow and andy carrying her luggage.
as they got luna's stuff, they successfully fleed the house with no signs of dream coming.
luna felt sorry for leaving without saying anything. but she thought it was better. she didn't want to regret anything. she still wasn't ready. but when dream kissed her, she knew she was in a fucked up situation. she might fall harder if she stayed.
so she chose to leave.
'i'm sorry dream. i can't. we can't. i'm not ready. not yet.' she thought.
