"papa!" a little girl was running to her grandpa as she and her parents arrive at his home.
"honeybunch!" the old man opens his arms wide as he welcomes his granddaughter into a hug.
"i missed you papa!"
"i missed you too honeybunch." he carressed her hair. he looked behind her and sees her parents, "come inside, i've prepared hot chocolate."
"thanks dad," the little girl's dad said to her grandpa.
the adults talked as the little girl tried to play with her grandparents' cat. keyword, 'tried'. the young girl was scared of animals so she was frightened to touch the feline, thinking it might bite her or scratch her.
she didn't notice her grandfather approaching her from behind. he crouches down next to her and placed one hand on her back, "it's alright, don't be scared, the cat's nice. try petting it," and so, she did. the cat purred and even snuggled closer to her palm.
"it's not biting me!" her high pitched voice echoed.
"mhm, i told you."

"try it, it's delicious!" her grandpa encouraged her as she stares disgustingly at the vegetable. she picked it up with a fork and willingly took a bite.
spitting it out with a pained expression, the little girl let out a gagging noise as the old man just laughs at her.
"you should try things that you hate, so that you'll know if you really hated them," he says.

"don't look straight at the dog's eyes!" her grandpa shouts from a couple feet away as the young girl defensively tries to reach out to the growling dog, as her grandpa commands. "try to pet it."
