The sun peeked in her room through the translucent curtains as she slept peacefully in her bed with his white office shirt on.
She shifted under the duvets not feeling the warm she felt last night before sitting up and rubbing her eyes. She looked beside to the empty space on the bed her mind going back to last night as she looked down at the hickeys and love bites on her neck .
She sighed .
He might have left for work but then...
"Good morning darlin'" A deep voice whispered as she gasped looking forward at the leather chair in her room by her coffee table where he sat shirtless with noting but sweat pants and a cup of coffee in his hand .
"Morning ." She replied as he rotated his neck staring at her intently . He is back to himself again. Cold and Stern . She thought .
"Why are you staring at me like that ?" She asked pushing the strand of hair behind her ear.
"Why ? Can I sit for a while and stare at my wife . You got a problem ?"
"N-no ." She stuttered unable to find words when he got up from the chair placing the cup on the table and slowly approached her .
He sat on the edge of the bed while she looked down staring at her fingers.
"I-" Before she could say anything he went down on his knees , sitting on the floor and touched her feet.
"What are you -"
"Please forgive me." She gasped staring at his now red eyes which were slowly teary as she could hear soft sniffles before she felt her heart ache.
"You-"
"Hear me out once , will you ?" She nodded as he began .
"I know I'm not the best husband or man you would've thought me to be . You married me hoping that the same amount of love you gave me I would reciprocate. But I didn't . I was very focused on impressing those and being up to the expectation to those who I thought would be my key to the success but I forgot to look behind and left the person who just cared for me and who I was. Who didn't care if I was rich or poor just stayed by my side and never once complained or said if she was in pain . I don't deserve you . I don't . But I swear there was never a single day at work I didn't think about you . There was never a single day when I didn't feel guilty for being cold and rigid towards you . Even last night what I did wasn't right . I deserve to be punished and I deserve to suffer . But I swear Y/n I love you .... I always had but I didn't have the courage to say it because I wanted to prove my self to be worthy for you , I wanted to be someone in your eyes so that when I claim you in front of the world you would be proud of me . You never asked me for luxuries or any other high priced material . You loved everyone and everything you had . When you left the day before yesterday and came here without telling me I swear my heart beat stopped because I thought you were leaving me. I know you may not feel the same for me right now as you did before trust me for me its always been you . If you want to leave me I won't stop you , but the only thing I could ever ask from you now is forgiveness and a second chance and I promise I won't let you down ."
He broke down in a fit of tears crying uncontrollably as she could held her tears back either as the couple sobbed. She suddenly felt very stupid and unreasonable for not knowing his side of the story and letting her thoughts wander .
She removed his hands from her feet before jumping in his arms hugging him tight before sobbing .
"I'm sorry too." She cried mumbling all over again and again.
"No , its my fault ."He said and she refused to believe.
"Can we please start over ?"
"Can we please start over ?"
They both said at the same time before he kissed her forehead as they hugged each other tight staying like that for a while .

"Why are both of your eyes swollen ?" Jennie asked as the couple sat on the table for breakfast .
"uh- we saw a sad movie last night ." He said .
"Really what was it about ?" Her father asked .
"It was about a couple drifting very apart until they finally sat down and talked things out and lived happily ." He answered looking at her who smiled back at him .
"Was the movie really that sad that you thought your wife is drifting apart that you have held her hand under the table hyung ?" Jimmy asked as everyone looked at their interwined hands .
"Jimmy stop it let them be." Her mother scolded.
"Y/n will you stay for few more days or are you both planning to leave today ?"
"We are planning-" He cut her off.
"We are planning to stay a few more days if that's okay will all of you." She looked at him her eyes almost teary at his answer.
Her mother noticed the atmosphere between both of them and thanked god for bringing them both closer.
If you look at the pictures married couples share on their social media handles, you will most probably end up believing that everyone has a perfect marriage. The vacations at exotic locations, birthday surprises and various display of public affection surely paint a pretty picture. But don't be fooled by this apparently blatant display of happiness because there are hard truths about marriage they no one perhaps talk about.
Marriage is a new beginning . Its a new stage in life when one get devoted to one person mentally , emotionally and physically . For those people who think that they can't live any longer with that one person they married . Just give one last try who knows maybe you get to know that person from even more depths and in the end you don't regret your decision .
