The Lock In

Someone asked for this, and since I had skipped this in the Love For Rent series, thought I would take it for a spin.

There are a few new shows on DiziLan this week. Rom Coms from the looks of it. I've watched the first episode of each, but anyone looking for something to watch might want to give them a go. 1) Gizli Saki 2) Senden Daha Guzel 3) Serversin Bir Ask Hikayesi. Number 3 even has Neriman in it (I say Neriman because she's basically playing the same character from what I can see).

"Maybe we should play Truth or Dare."

"Defne, what are we? Children? Just ask what you want to ask me and I'll answer."

"Of course, because I am so curious, I am so interested and I don't want to ask you! You think I'm trying to trick you into finding out something. I just offered to play."

"Okay, okay, don't get upset, come on, let's play, come on."

With a smile, she huddled up next to him on the sofa, legs crossed beneath her. "Me first."

He smirked. "Honey, no surprise there."

Eyes narrowed, she refused. "No, I've changed my mind, ask, you ask, ask."

"Fine." He turned so that they were facing one another, one leg tucked beneath him, his arm stretched out along the back of the sofa. "Truth or dare?"

"None of them."

That was not the response he'd been expecting and he reeled back. "What?" Omer shook his head, confused.

"I don't know .. something happened to me when you said dare... Truth."

He took a breath and stared at her. "Have you ever lied to me?"

"Let me think... Yes."

Omer's heart sank. "About what?"

"End of question... it's my turn."

"As you like... Truth."

"Iz, what's the deal with you and her?.. Do you love her?"

"Of course, I love very much. Iz is my ex-girlfriend. We spent a lot of time together, and even now we spend a lot of time together." He saw the irritation in her expression.

"So, like me, I'm like Iz?"

"I mean... not exactly." It was strange that after all this time, after what they'd been through that Iz was still an issue for her. How she couldn't see the difference between herself and Iz was a mystery to him.

"No no, of course, after all, you refer to her as an ex-girlfriend. I don't get it, how you can be so understanding, and compassionate towards an ex-girlfriend?"

"When something is over... it's over. I already told you, she's an ex-girlfriend."

"We're also exes, but we can't seem to be friends for some reason, we argue all the time."

Desperate for her to understand, he looked at her with serious eyes. "Defne, like I said when it ends... It's over."

He saw the moment that the realisation dawned on her. "Uh we're... not done, you mean?"

"You made me a promise." Since that conversation in the car, he'd not been able to shake the feeling of hope that had blossomed inside of him. Hope that somehow they could overcome all odds and be together again.

"So you believed me?"

"What number question is this?"

"Ay, you're back to being yourself! Alright, ask, it's your turn..."
