Peter has to tutor his crush.
peters pov
"Parker, can I see you for a moment." Ms Warren called me over at the end of the lesson.
"Is everything okay miss?" I questioned nervously, trying to wrack my brain for anything I had done wrong.
"Yes I just wanted to ask if you were open to tutoring?"
"I-I don't need tutoring Miss. Not to be rude I just-"
"No Peter, you would be doing the tutoring." She chuckled.
"M-me? Really?" I frowned.
"Well you are the smartest student in this class. But yes, I need you to tutor Miss y/l/n."
Y/n?! The girl I've had a crush on for the past 2 years?! The popular girl?!
"I- um I just- I'm not sure-"
"She's actually very smart but she's not focussing right now and it's affecting her grade. Please Parker, she needs you."
Shit. I really don't want to do this.
"Fine."
y/n's pov
"Y/l/n, can I see you for a moment." Ms Warren called me over at the end of the lesson.
"Is everything okay miss?" I questioned with a kind smile.
"Well, I wanted to ask if you were open to tutoring?"
"I know my grades have been slipping but I just-"
"Look, y/n you need to refocus on your learning and peter is the smartest student therefore-"
Parker?! The hot quiet boy who I've had a crush on for years?!
"Yes! I mean, yeah okay I'll do it."
"Great!"
———
"Hey Peter." I smiled as I tapped his shoulder.
Once his head turned, his brown eyes widened and his cheeks became rosy. He was so nervous. It was cute.
"H-hey y/n! you alright?" He grinned.
"Yeah I'm great, Warren said I should come and talk to you about the tutoring? What time should I come to your place?"
"Oh- I um- my aunt will be home all week so I don't know-" he stuttered, eyebrows furrowed.
"Peter I really don't mind, if she's related to you it means she's lovely." I chuckled.
"O-okay! Then is six okay?"
"Great, gimme your number so you can send me your address."
"Oh yeah-" he told me his number and I quickly made him into a contact.
"parker🫶"
"Awesome, I'll see you then." I gave his shoulder a quick squeeze and walked away.

Walking up to Peter apartment door, I took a deep breathe and knocked slowly.
Why was I so nervous? I mean I know I liked him but I don't usually feel this awful feeling in my stomach that makes me feel like I'm going to throw up.
Before I could keep overthinking, the door was opened to reveal and kind looking woman with long brown hair.
"You must be y/n! Come in, come in..." she beckoned with the largest smile I've ever seen.
"Yeah I am, May is it?" I bit my lip, scared it was the wrong name.
"Yes sweetheart. Now, come in and make yourself comfortable and I'll get Pete." She pointed to the couch and I sat.
It was a lovely place, small but very cosy. It had lots of charm. Becoming curious as I noticed photographs, I got up to inspect them. The first one I noticed was obviously Peter as a baby which made me laugh, he was so adorable. Who would've thought a cutie like that would turn into the hottest guy I've ever seen.
My friends know about my crush and they all say they don't see it. Which I don't understand.
He's got it all; kindness, brains and good looks.
What more could someone ask for?
Plus, I don't want to read into it but I think he might like me too. He gets all nervous when I talk to him which really boosted my ego to be honest.
"Hey y/n!"
I turned around hearing his voice to be met with the biggest surprise ever. A good one at that.
Someone tell me why Peter Parker was standing there shirtless with nothing but a towel draped dangerously low around his hips. I didn't mean to gawk but his body looked like it had been shaped by the gods.
"Y/n?" Peter chuckled.
"Hmm? Yeah sorry what?" I reluctantly ripped my eyes away and looked at him to see a cheeky grin.
"I'm sorry I lost track of time and got in the shower too late. Just give me five minutes to get dressed."
"Y-yeah sure! Don't worry about it." I smiled.
How was I now the one stuttering?
———
"Ugh Peter I literally don't know." I pouted. I wasn't dumb but I had been staring at this question for 20 minutes and just couldn't think how to solve it.
"Cmon y/n, you're smart. You can do this." Peter sympathetically smiled.
"I cant. I give up." I flopped back onto his bed.
Feeling the bed move slightly, I looked over to see Peter laying down next to me.
"I mean it you know, you're really intelligent." He spoke quietly.
"I'm no match to the smartest person on Earth though."
"Bruce Banner?" Peter frowned.
"No, you silly." I chuckled.
"Oh, well that's definitely not true." He laughed, such a sweet sound.
"Oh come on, it's like one of my favourite things about you!" I slapped him playfully.
"One of them? What's the others?" He practically whispered.
"I-well I think you're really sweet...and attractive." I barely spoke that last part, a little unsure whether I should say it.
"Wow. Well, I think that too." He propped himself up onto his shoulders and looked at me with a small smile.
"What do you mean?"
"I think you're really sweet too...and attractive." He chuckled.
"Really?" I bit my lip, trying to suppress an over dramatic grin.
"I swear on the smarts of Bruce banner." He laughed, reaching over and swiping a loose hair away from my face.
"I think you should swear on your own smarts as you're smarter than him." I teased.
"Hmmm I don't think that's true but you're sweet and attractive so I'll let you off." He looked into my eyes with pure adoration, making my heart flip.
"We should get back to solving that problem." I sat up and shuffled back over to my work.
"I'll tell you what. If you do this equation then I'll take you on a date." He rose his eyebrows.
It amazed me how confident he actually was when we were alone.
"Hmmm...deal!"
I solved the equation.
