Sam breaks up with y/n after finding someone else.
y/n's pov
"So that's it? You found someone else? This is over?" I shouted at my now ex boyfriends guilt ridden face.
"Look, I'm sorry y/n. But I couldn't lie to you anymore." Sam spoke softly.
"Oh, how sweet of you! Thank you so much for sparing my feelings!" I spoke sarcastically.
"I really like you y/n, but I love her. I cant help how I feel."
"Love? So after I spent the last 8 literally making connections with your family...you're telling me you've never loved me?" I practically whispered, scared to hear the answer.
"I- I-"
"Wow."
toms pov
I heard her voice break when she said that single word. Like she had finally come to the realisation that my brother truly was an asshole and she'd just wasted the last 8 months of her life.
I knew I shouldn't be listening but when I heard the shouting, I was curious.
I couldn't believe Sam was such a dickhead.
"You know what, it wasn't a waste though. Because unlike you, your family is amazing. I mean, I've found my bestest friend in the world aka someone who actually cares about me." I heard her chuckle.
I smiled slightly, knowing it was me she was talking about.
"So you know what Sam, I'm not leaving your life because you've brought me into Toms and I sure as hell am not leaving him like you're leaving me."
"Y/n I-"
I know this wasn't the time but I was so proud of her.
I heard footsteps stomping and quickly hid around the corner so she wouldn't know I was ear-wigging. I peeked around when the Sams bedroom door slammed to see her whole demeanour change. Silent sobs escaped and she ran her back down the wall, being her arms around to hug her knees to her chest.
"Why does this keep happening to me?" She whispered to herself.
My heart broke. I knew I could give her everything Sam, and all those other bastards she's gone out with, couldn't. I would give her the world because that's what she deserves.
Before I could make myself know, she quickly bolted up and ran down the stairs.
I ran after her, desperate to hold her in my arms and tell her everything is okay.
"Y/N!" I shouted out the front door. She turned for a split second before turning around again and walking down the street.
"Tom please leave me alone." She called back.
I sprinted towards her, not even thinking two seconds before wrapping her in my embrace. She froze at first but then sunk into me, her shaky arms making there way around my torso.
"I'm so sorry darling, he's such an asshole." I whispered into her hair.
"Yeah, I guess I somehow chose the dickhead Holland." She chuckled between her cries.
"I promise we're not all like him." I held her tighter, kissing the top of her head.
"I know, I know. Just wish I'd known that beforehand." She sniffled.
I wanted to stay like this forever. Her buried into my chest, protected from all the hurt in the world.
"God I cant believe I'm related to such an idiot."
"Hey, you're nothing like him." She looked up my through her puffy eyes. Although the circumstance, I was still entranced by how beautiful she was. "You're so caring and sweet Tom, you're perfect."
Her eyes widened all of a sudden, as if confused by her own words. The words that made my heart skip a beat.
"You're perfect." She repeated with a slight laugh.
"You wanna let me know what's going on or?" I frowned.
"It's you. How have I not seen it before?" She whispered.
"Me? What's me? I don't-"
Then it hit me. What she was saying.
"You're the Holland I'm meant to be with."
