Day 1 - Friday

The Forest of Blood welcomed the members of Team RWBY. As far as the eye could see, crimson trees sprawled across the landscape, bark as black as night accenting their presence, and grass as red as blood stretching far beyond the horizon.

The leaves caused the sun to leave dreary red hue, an everlasting red mist draped over The Forever Fall.

Weiss: So, what's the plan? Dear leader?

The Red Reaper stepped ahead of them, kneeling down and letting the grass sway against her fingertips. Her silver eyes glanced up, scanning the area. . .

Ruby: I say we get to the first temple thingy.

Her teammates' eyes widened in shock, the White Heiress scoffing at the idea.

Weiss: Our objective is to get a foothold, survive until tomorrow night, and THEN go to the ruin.

Ruby: Uh-huh, and what's the matter with starting early? Besides, it'll be a lot easier to get a foothold with a roof over our heads.

The whitette grit her teeth, rolling her eyes and conceding to their leader. It was a plan that had some merit.

Weiss: Do you know how to get there?

Yang: From what I remember, the first ruin was west. Anyone know how to navigate? Because, I sure as hell don't without my phone!

Weiss decided to turn away out of embarrassment, refusing to address the question. Ruby decided to do so as well, whistling awkwardly. . . Luckily, their Black Enigma had at least something to add.

Blake: The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. It's about noon, so we'll need to wait a few hours to tell which way the sun is setting.

Yang: Good to know. What do we do now then?

Ruby: (Stands) Well, it'd be smart to just sit here and wait it out. . . but that's lame!

BWY sweatdropped in unison.

Weiss: Regardless, this is not a good spot to stay. We're completely exposed.

Blake: And being cramped in the forest isn't the best idea either.

Roars began to echo across the Forever Fall, each of the girls drawing their weapons. The wind was disturbed as the noise multiplied, and grew closer and closer.

Ruby: (Eyes Widen) Move! Get under the trees, now!

Without questioning her, RWBY rushed for the edge of the clearing and dived underneath the shade of the bleeding leaves and charred trees. . . The clearing was soon occupied by a colossal Grimm. . .
