The next morning, the group had run around to their own homes to change clothes, shower, etc before hiding down in Mike's basement again. Will was wearing a red and yellow-ish and white striped collared shirt with some blue shorts and sneakers, Mike in a blue collared shirt and black shorts that almost reached his knees on top of some black sneakers. Lucas was now in his now famous Ariostea hat, red and grey t-shirt and shorts, and finally Ian, a black, thin collared shirt with white suspenders and baggy jeans, paired with some black, high-top Converse. The boy only wore jeans because he hated shorts, he thought he looked incredibly stupid.

Lucas was trying to comm Max and El who were having a sleepover, but Max just turned the walkie off. Mike sighs, running to the phone and dialing Max's house number.

"This is Mike. Do not hang up. Something happened, something bad. Our very lives could be at stake."

After a small pause as Ian, Will and Lucas sat on the couch, watching over Mike intently, he speaks again.

"Just come over to my house. We'll explain everything. Hurry" He hangs the phone up, turning back towards the other boys, "Try Dustin again"

"He's not answering" Ian tells Mike

"Then try him again"

Lucas sighs, picking up the walkie to try and contact Dustin again. To which, he still didn't answer.

As the girls arrive, entering the home through the basement door, the group makes a small circle around the couch and table as Will begins to explain everything. Max sat on the floor, El in the chair that matched the couch, Will on the arm of the couch with Mike and Lucas both on his left, and Ian stood next to Max, not wanting to sit any longer as his legs were going numb.

"The first time I felt it was at Day Of The Dead."

"The power went out that night too"

"And then I felt it again at the field near the Nelson farm the next day. Then again yesterday outside Castle Byers."

"What does it feel like?" Max asks

"It's almost like.. you know when you drop on a roller coaster?" Will attempts to explain

Most the group answers with variants of 'yes' except Eleven and Ian. I mean, El spent the first twelve years of her life stuck in a lab and Ian had never even tried a slushie before until earlier that summer, let alone go to the fairgrounds when that came up. He was always forced to stay inside and do nothing with his life.

Will, seeing the two wouldn't know what the feeling was like and trying to include them, explains further. "It's like.. everything inside your body is just sinking all at once, but... this is worse. Your body.. it goes cold and- and you can't breathe. I've felt it before, whenever he was close" His voice became shaky as he talked.

"Wait, so... we whole heartedly know this is the Mind Flayer and he's come to kill us all, right?" Ian asks

"I closed the gate" Eleven speaks, sort of confused

"I know, but.. what if he never left?" Will questions, "What if we locked him in here with us?"

The group looks at him confused, but Ian had understood, just how Will was attempting to explain. Ian grabs a piece of printer paper, putting it on the D&D table as Will saw his idea, grabbing one of his charcoal pencils from his backpack. Why Will carried all his art supplies around was a question left unanswered for now as the group gathered around.
