The party makes a circle in the lobby, watching the lights rapidly flicker. Knowing the situation this was, they quickly pass by the front desk lady as she shouts at them, running up the stairs. The group finds Nancy and Jonathan battling some flesh monster, terrifying Ian to his very core. He'd definitely never seen anything like this.
Nancy hides in the corner as Eleven yells, throwing the creature across the room with her telekinetic powers as it groans. She yells again, lifting it up to the ceiling as it shrieks, then down to the floor. The creature stands up as the party plus Jonathan watch from the doorway, Eleven yelling as she pushes the monster through the window of the hospital.
The party quickly rushes back downstairs, seeing the sludge monster drain through the sewer grate where it landed. The lights around them buzzed and flickered rapidly as the squelching began to die out, the thing leaving a bone or two behind.
Eleven protects her friends with her arms to make sure they stay away from the grate, her nose dripping with blood.
"Holy shit" Ian mutters, breaking the silence.
Mike wraps his arms around the curly haired boy, pulling him into a hug.
He knew what Ian was thinking about, this is what his sister was turning into, same with Billy.
They hadn't confirmed if Alex was yet to be flayed but, seeing so, she probably wasn't safe.

Ian sits in the recliner, legs in criss-cross formation as his hand shakes while he holds a glass of water.
His baggy jeans that reached the bottom of his shoes comforted him, at least he didn't have to wear shorts in the heat. He couldn't bear looking at his own body, let alone dress in uncomfortable, short attire because it was hot out. He'd live in a bit of sweat.
The boy's hand was only shaking because he was scared. Scared for El, scared for Will, for Alex and Billy, Dustin and Erica, wherever they were, his friends that were in the same room as him but yet he continued to spiral into anxiety. Will took notice, but didn't act on it, knowing that Mike would come to the rescue as he always did. Ian knew Will had a feeling about something as he glanced at him.
Mike disengaged from the current discussion of Billy inside on the fourth of July with the others, taking Ian to the bathroom by the hand. Ian's freckled arms were pale, as he usually didn't go out much during summer, he hated the heat.
"I know you aren't okay, so please don't lie and say you are. But are you really okay?" Mike asks, closing the bathroom door as Ian leans against the sink.
"What... whatever that thing was last night, my sister is a part of that, Mike. She's already fucking dead, dude." Ian throws his hands up as if to give up.
"She's not dead, Ian." Mike places his hands on Ian's shoulders, "I know how you've felt all your life, I get it, I do. I've felt that way too. Being with you has made that so much better, so please see that not everything has to be bad until you see it that way. We haven't even confirmed she's involved yet, so please don't worry" the boy rambles.
"I know, Mike. It doesn't just cure my anxiety like that. You haven't felt what it's like to walk outside, uncomfortably pulling at your pants to make them longer because they were too high on your legs. Or what it was like wearing sweaters and baggy jeans year round was like because you didn't have to feel that way. You may have lost El but that didn't make you scared to walk out of your own home that isn't even yours." Ian continues to ramble as tears well up in his eyes.
His ramblings barely make any sense, his mind and thoughts lost in the mess of anxiety.
Mike stays silent, letting Ian speak freely as he normally couldn't in front of the others.
"You may have gone through a hell of a long road of depression, but sometimes I feel like everyone invalidates my trauma and feelings because theirs is worse. Especially since all of this Upside Down bullshit. I'm always stuck as the therapist friend and you know it, and yet I'm sitting here trying to hold my shit together for El while she's using her powers to figure out the source, or whatever!"
Mike just hugs Ian, unable to form words for what he wanted to say so he showed it in action. The raven haired boy could hear his boyfriend's muffled cries being spit into his chest, tears going to eventually and lightly stain his dark shirt. Mike just rubs the boy's back, then moving to his hair in which he just tried to make Ian feel comfortable.
"I'm sorry" Ian apologized, saying the phrase over and over again until Mike had shut him up with a kiss.
"It's okay. You can feel whatever way you want to. That's why we're here, okay?" Mike speaks
Ian nods, wiping his tears as he sniffles, opening the bathroom door and making his way back out to Eleven and the others, Mike trailing behind. Eleven gasps, reaching for Max beside her as she breathes heavily, sobbing as her nose was leading a river of blood down her face.
The brunette girl breathes heavily as Ian rushes down to her, grabbing her tissues and the glass of water, taking the bandana and tossing it aside. Eleven shakily reaches for the water, downing it quickly as she steadies her breathing. The redhead helps the girl clean up any blood left on her face as the others either watch or offer to help.
"I'm guessing she found the source" Nancy speaks up
Ian looks up at her with the little brother - older sister look in his dark eyes, "Yeah. I think fucking so, Nance"
AN - well its been a month huh. I haven't been motivated to wrote anything st related so I'm sorry. I'm trying my best haha, but hoping ur all okay and doing good <3
