If anyone knew Sadie more than she knew herself, It was her sister. Her sister knew something happened between the two friends. She could tell they were close again but not how they were when they were in a relationship. Every time the girl walked into the Garrison with the Shelby brothers she could see the way John looked at Sadie, still clearly in love with her sister and Sadie tried to hide it but she loved him too. Today was no different when they walked into the Pub and went into their room. John went up to the girl.
"Hey pretty girl, Was just wondering how much I have to pay for you?" He laughed and the girl rolled her eyes at the boy. He was always like this around her and she was glad he hadn't changed his humour. She grabbed the usual boy's drink and passed it to the boy.
"You are just so funny John. As you can tell I am laughing so hard." The boy smiled at the girl and then checked around before handing her a gun.
"I got you this, just so you can have some of your own protection." The girl looked down at the gun and quickly hid it under the counter. "Also Tommy wants to have a chat with all of us right now, can you take a break for a drink?"
"Grace, can you keep shit under control while I go and have a chat with the Shelbys?" The other bartender nodded so Sadie made her way into the room and sat down on the only chair left. She lit a cigarette and poured herself a drink and pretended to listen to what Tommy was saying.
"So are there any questions? Sadie?" Sadie looked up at Tommy and shook her head no. "Alright well thank you for taking a break from working, you can go back now." Sadie stood up and began to walk out.
"So Tommy, tonight are you wanting to have Grace visit or Rosie because I think they both want you to fuck them." Sadie said and then walked out. The other Shelby siblings laughed at him but he was pissed off at the girl so he went to the window and replied to the girl.
"Yeah well, do you want John to fuck you or do you want him to keep fucking the whore he keeps seeing?" John stood up and stood behind his brother.
"Yeah real nice Tommy..." He walked out of the room and then left the bar without saying goodbye to Sadie. Sadie ignored Tommy and John returned right after going back into the room. Soon three men walked into the pub and started to yell.
"Has anyone seen a man called Shelby?" The middle man said. Everyone else in the bar remained silent, no one responded to the man so He pointed his gun up to the roof and shot it. "Has anyone seen a man called Shelby!" He yelled again, louder this time. John came running out of the room to check on Sadie, who was fine but she had her hand on the gun that John had just given her. The other brothers came out after him.
"Everyone, go home!" Tommy said sternly making everyone leave the pub except the brothers, Sadie and Grace. "Get these men a drink, Kimber sit down." Kimber and his men sat down and Grace brought them a drink. "You wanted a Shelby, well you got three of them."
"Four actually." Sadie sat on Johns lap and kissed him. "Married in."
"Sadie, go home" John whispered to her. She shook her head and stayed there. Tommy told grace to go home and they made conversation with Kimber. He started yelling causing Sadie to laugh. The other men with him pointed a gun at her.
"You making fun of Kimber?" One said. John got his gun and pointed it back at them.
"You shoot her, John here and the rest of us will kill all of ya. John isn't gonna mess around with it either." Arthur got his gun out as well.
"To be fair you kind of sound like a prick Kimber." Sadie replied to the man and John rolled his eyes at the girl.
"Sadie... cut it out." Tommy said. Tommy continued making the deal with Kimber and when they left Tommy went to Sadie. "You know the right way to go about things if you want to die you know? John would lose his shit if he lost you as well." Sadie ignored him and continued cleaning up the Pub.
"I want to learn how to fight. To defend myself just incase." Sadie sat next to John and he coughed awkwardly. "John, you okay?"
John looked at the girl for a second and then responded. "Yeah I'm fine... Don't tell Tommy but I can teach you how to fight. But you can't tell anyone it has to be between the two of us." He poured himself a drink offered the girl one as well. She nodded her head and He poured her one too. They sat in silence while they drank and then went back to their place in silence too. They walked inside.
"Well... you gonna teach me or what Johnny boy?" She smiled at the boy. Then for the rest of the night he helped her. They didn't stop until early in the morning. "Thank you John, Really." He smiled back at the girl and she walked to her room and went to sleep. John couldn't sleep however. all he wanted to do was try and get the girl back. All he wanted was them to be like before their argument before he left all those years ago.
