⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ • Swearing, animal abuse, mentions of drinking, mentions of blood

10:01 am

"You awake yet?" I say to Tommy, not looking at him. Keeping my eyes on the road.

"Mhmm I'm awake..." Tommy says, getting out of sleep.

"We still have thirty minutes left till we get there," I say.

"How long did I sleep for?" Tommy says, gaining the rest of his consciousness back.

"About an hour. Do you wanna go back to sleep? I can wake you up when we get there," I recommend.

"No. I'm not really tired anymore. I kinda wanna talk about what happened last night," Tommy says, with a worried voice.

"Yeah sure, go right ahead," I say, hoping to not cause any tension.

"I never got the chance to say sorry. I didn't mean to drag you into my mess."

"No it's fine." I say, this time, I'm not lying.

"You sure...?" he says, confused.

"Yes, I swear I am."

"Okay, thank you for not being mad," he replies, a wave a relief washing over his voice.

"I could never be mad at you Tommy. You know that," I say, pointing out the obvious.

"Yeah, I know... I guess I only have two friends now."

"Who would that be?"

"Well obviously you and...  Alex."

"Alex?" I say, confused. He never told me about an Alex?

"Well everyone calls him Quackity, not Alex."

"He doesn't drink also. Does he?"

"Well he's drank before, but I swear it isn't the type of stuff I do..." he pauses and repeats his sentence again, " it isn't the type of stuff I did. It's only on holidays for him, and he always drinks around his family."

"Really?"

"Yeah, he said something like "es porqué soy Mexicano."

"Is that Spanish?"

"Yeah, he taught me some, not a lot cause he said I would understand everything he said and he couldn't make fun of me in Spanish."

"So he's Mexican?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, I guess he sounds like a cool dude. How'd you meet him?"

"School. He's in your grade. He's older then you though, he got held back." I think I've heard the name around school.

"Oh okay. Well maybe you can introduce me to him one day."

"Yeah. You guys would definitely get along."

"If you think so."

"We could all hang out tomorrow!"

"Doesn't he have school tomorrow?"

"Yeah, but he would skip if I asked him to."

"We still have Mark coming tomorrow, remember?"

"Oh yeah, fuck, could we just hang out after?"

"Yeah sure."

"Okay, I'll text him right now quickly."

"Kay."
