Ray POV 

I finally finished talking to mum about everything i found out and raced off outside, full of energy for once,. when i got outside i saw Emma sat with Norman both of the sat closer then you would consider friends. i pushed away the intrusive thoughts about Norman dating her and went over. I smiled at him about to speak when Norman spoke first 

"Ray, you know how i'm Polyamorous? well i also like Emma so i wanted to try it out, hope that's okay"

i fake a smile and nod at him, thinking to myself 'it's not alright but you're happy so i guess i'll be happy for you'. i sat next to norman, an hour had passed and not once did he check on me or notice how i was on the verge of a breakdown. i got up and sighed when he didn't even stop me. i walked off, having to try avoid Don. he saw me and stopped me 

"Woah Ray where are you off to so fast?.....Hey Ray, What's wrong? could i help?"

I stood staring at him, trying to force the tears away unfortunately he noticed and dragged me off to a hidden spot. we both sat down and i explained everything to him 

"it's just Norman is dating emma as well as me now and he's so happy and i'm being a bitch for not wanting them together and wanting him all to myself. i don't get-"

Don cut me off "Ray there is nothing wrong with that? look you should know and this won't help but it's important you know. Norman and Emma were holding hands yesterday and he was flirting with her and she did the same back"

i took a moment to process this "i'm tempted to end it, he didn't ask me consent and I'm not comfortable with it"

Just my luck Norman came over.

"oh ray there- Ray is that true?"

"yea it is" i stayed staring at the ground 

"oh- i'm sorry" he backed away from me and walked off. i sighed in anger but also stress, relaxing when don nudged me in a playful way 

"I'm proud of you for saying Ray andddd now let's go get your mind off it!" he jumped up immediality tripping over and i laughed a little, laughing more when he whined at me "RAyyyyyyyyyy That's actually offensive" 

I was too busy laughing at Don being dramatic at me being a 'bully' to even notice Norman was watching teary eyed in the distance 

(A/N: sorry it was short, i wanted this to be a story to show that consent about ANYTHING is imporant whether it's dating someone at the same time or physical affection/ futher. i can't write to much on this mainly because it was a massive argument so yea- but hope you enjoyed it anyway.)
