Founded in 1776 and officially independent in 1783 the United States of America is an industrial, economic, and militaristic superpower with the largest economy with an annual GDP of 386.05 trillion (44.63 trillion in 2021 USD value)) .it is the world's second most populous nation with a population of 409 million. It is highly centralized federation comprised of 50 "states", 48 of these states are connected to each other on the North American mainland and are often referred to as the "lower 48" whilst the other states of Hawaii and Alaska are not connect to the U.S mainland. However in 1969 the 50 states were organized into 13 commonwealths which introduced a new level of organization to the nation. It is the main power of the Washington Accords and WPTO and is the leader of the West in its fight against communist and the only other super power on earth, the People's Democratic Republic of China.
