The two scientist were tense in their own lab, not being able to stop staring at the LMD's that had now replaced their friends. Asta couldn't bare to look at them feeling bad that she couldn't go save them. "We have to get out of here." Jemma suggests as she faces the two.
"No, Jemma. We have to be careful. They can't know that we know." Fitz says softly, gripping her hand in comfort.
"But we can only imagine what the Russians and Radcliffe programmed them to do. They could kill us, or they could... They... " Jemma began to stutter in concern.
"Ok ok ok ok ok." Fitz says pulling her in closer as to avoid gaining attention. "If they want to, they would have already." he informs her.
"No one will kill you on my watch." Asta whispers to her as Jemma took a deep breath to calm down.
"Unless, they're waiting to seperate us, all of us from the general population, then kill us or switch us, or..." Jemma began to ramble.
"Okay. Ok, ok... take a breath." Fitz tells her facing her away from the windows with his arm on her shoulder.
"The one advantage we have over them is that they don't know that we're on to them. But they're going to be suspicous if we don't act normal." Fitz informs her.
"Yeah, maybe we could..." Jemma was going to ramble.
Asta leans back and looks at them with her normal smile, "You know your silly myths about Asgardians are wrong about the magic apples of immortality." she says to them, earning her a confused look from the two.
"What?" Fitz questions, not following where that came from.
"Yeah, I don't know where you got that from. The aging thing is just Alien genetics. Oh hello!" Asta says, greeting those who had now joined the trio.
"Hi Asta." Coulson greets in his 'normal' friendly manner, as the other two turn to face him and the others, "Agent Fitz." he says in a more serious tone.
"Yes sir?" Fitz replies, covering how stunned he was that Asta had covered for them so smoothly.
"We haven't been able to locate the submarine on satellite. In your best estimation, do you think it has missle-launch capabilities?" Coulson questions.
Fitz takes a breath as he thinks, "Well, we couldn't know that for sure, but one could posit that, yeah." he informs them.
"Then we'll have to assume the worst. That the Russians have people to ennact his endgame." Mack speculates.
"And his goal in life was to kill all Inhumans." Jemma says softly in realization.
"Thats why we're bringing them all here, to headquarters." Coulson informs them.
"Of course." Jemma nods.
"Seems like the safest plan of action." Asta adds with her own nod.
"Makes perfect sense. Uh, well, once this storm has cleared up, and uh, the director has fully recovered we can start to put a system together to..." Jemma was cut short by Mace entering the room with Daisy.
"I've recovered enough." He says, while holding an ice pack to his head.
"My god, that was fast." Jemma comments as the trio now stoodbetween the four LMD's.
"A little sore. But I'll manage." Mace informs her. "I think Daisy here should contact the Inhumans personally and oversee their transfer to HQ." Mace suggests.
Daisy nods, "I'll take care of it."
"I'll help take calls. Thats our top priority." Mack offers.
"Along with finding Agent May, right?" Simmons reminds them.
