⋆ Bonus chapter, grief comes with ghosts ⋆

Hello my wonderful sunflowers! I wanted to give you all a treat, and write one more chapter for this book! This chapter is a very short one, mind you.

One more thing, this takes place 9 years after everything happened.

A young skeleton wearing a gold and lilac raincoat ran ahead of her friends and family, carrying an umbrella with her. This young girl ran up to a grave, this grave located next to a tree stump.

She smiled when she stopped, staring at the grave. "Hi mom!" She said, placing a sunflower down on it. "I brought you your favourite flower!" She says, the ones she left coming up behind her.

"Hey Dream.." A black and white fluffy-coated skeleton named Cross, spoke. "We miss you." He laughed quietly, lifting Lux, who is currently 9 years old, up. In the distance came eight more skeletons.

Who are all these skeletons? You might be wondering. Well, I'll give you one more than just their names.

The next to come were Nightmare, being 518 now, followed by 43 year old Killer, his husband, and 9 year old Crescent.

Next to come by were Ink, 1207, Error, 1210, Paperjam, 16, and Palette, 18. And at the very back, was Blue, now being 33.

They all brought themselves around the grave, placing down more sunflowers. This was something they did every year all together. It was just the bunch of them that were close with Dream, it was to greive respectfully together. Though, they would all visit the grave at different times before and after the date.

The bunch of them stayed there for a while longer, talking and bringing up memories of the deceased skeleton.

Lux sat in her room, talking on and on to someone. She rambled about her friends and family, talking of how everyone's been doing, and how her father has still been very upset about losing her mom.

The ghostly figure sat there, listening to her rambling. He said nothing, smiling as she told him all about everything. "Mom! Do you see us when we go see you at your grave?" Lux asked, not noticing the door peek open even just the slightest.

"I see you. And I know you see me too." Dream said, his voice faint but still clear. His glowint yellow figure being nothing more than the faint yellow glow and faint white outline of his former self.

Cross watched from the door, a smile on his face as his eyes watered. No matter how many times he'd seen the two together, he would never get used to it. And so, he continued watching them as they sat together on the bed.

After a while, Cross watched Dream tuck in their daughter, wiping away his tears with his sleeve as he watched him fade away, proceeding to close the door. And quickly yet quietly run off back to his room.

It took him a while to fall asleep, but once he had, the faint white and yellow ghost of Dream appeared again. Gliding over to the sleeping skeleton. "Goodnight my dear. I'll always be with you." He whispered in the unconscious skeleton's ear. Receiving a smile from him.

And with that, Cross fell into a peaceful dream with his husband in it, grieving in a healthy way. All the while, Dream was laying next to him, even though he'd have to leave shortly to visit everyone else as well.
