Pulling into the abandoned housing development, Shane and Andrea look over the houses. It was quite an eerie sight to witness. All the homes once inhabited, left deserted. A few cars were haphazardly scattered about, showing signs of chaos during the start of it all. The forgotten trash cans stood at the end of many driveways, overflowing with garbage bags. Shane brings the car to a stop, allowing for the both of them to get out. Andrea tucks her gun into the back of her waistband after loading it and Shane scans the neighborhood through his binoculars.
Starting to walk, Shane whispers over to Andrea, "We're gonna have to go house to house. We'll start at the far end and we'll work our way back."
Andrea speaks above a whisper, "If Sophia got this far, she has a real shot, don't you think?"
Shane gives a look but says nothing in return.

"Winona. Maggie! Please calm down," Glenn attempts at calming the women. Winona became infuriated after the close call with Glenn and Maggie, especially after seeing the list they put their lives on the line for.
Slamming the gate in front of the man, Maggie yells at Lori, "Hey! We got your stuff."
Glenn quickly chases after them, "Guys, hang on please."
Lori glances around the camp, "Come on in here," she stutters motioning to a more private spot.
"Why? Nothing to hide. We got your special delivery right here. The one we risked our asses for," Winona argues, still covered in walker blood.
Maggie starts throwing the stuff down, "We got your lotion, got your conditioner, your soap opera digest."
"Maggie. Nona," Lori says shocked.
"Next time you want something, get it your damn self," Winona states pointing a finger in the woman's face.
"We're not your damn errand boys," Maggie adds on, still pissed.
"Honey, I—"
Winona snatches the pills off the ground throwing them at the woman, "And here's your fucking abortion pills." Maggie shakes her head and stomps off, Winona gives one last look before she leaves for the house, "You really are damn selfish, you know that?" Glenn gives a sympathetic look to Lori and quickly follows after Maggie. Lori was left standing in disbelief.
Heading inside to clean up, Winona was angrily muttering to herself, "...get this... get that... can you get these for my little fuck up?" Without looking where she was walking, she ran smack dab into a body, "Fucking shit, sorry," she quickly apologizes not facing them.
"Hey, easy with the profanities there," the person laughs. Winona's eyes widen, recognizing the voice. She looks up to see Rick looking down at her. His demeanor quickly changes as he notices the blood covering her chest and face. He moves his hand across her cheek to try and wipe the gunk off of her face, "God, Winona, are you alright?"
She blushes and quickly pulls back, remembering the fight she had with Lori earlier, "Just peachy," giving a thumbs up, "If you'll excuse me, I would like to take a shower, I'm tired of being covered in walkers' blood and guts."
"Walkers'? As in multiple? Graves, what the hell were you doing?" he questions, his voice riddled with concern.
"Not the time for a lecture, Rick. I'm fine, I took care of the walkers. I'm going," she turns to leave.
"Are you sure everything is okay?" Rick calls out once more, grabbing on to her wrist to try and stop her.
Winona's eyes start to fill with tears as she gives a nod, not turning around, "Like I said, 'just peachy,"
"Come on, Winona, you can talk to me," Rick's voice starts to break, he didn't understand why she was behaving like this.
"I wish I could," she whispers pulling out of his grasp, proceeding to the bathroom. Rick stood with his gaze unmoving from the spot the woman once stood with her back facing him. His heart ached for an explanation of a why, how, or what that might give at least some insight on why she was pulling away from him. He heard the shower start and he snapped out from his daze, but his thoughts were still as loud as can be.
——
Glenn follows Maggie as close as he could, they ended up pretty far from the house. "That was not cool," Glenn declares.
"Which part? The part where that bitch almost got us killed?"
"I should've gone alone. If you want to blame anybody, blame me."
Maggie scoffs, "Right, take the blame. You know, for a smart guy, you're really stupid."
Glenn's brows furrowed, "Okay, I'm confused, because I think you just paid me a compliment, but you made it s—"
Maggie cuts him off with a desperate kiss. She pulls away, foreheads touching, "I've already lost three of the people that I care about most in this world."
"Maggie—"
"Shut up," she stops him, "You're smart. You're brave. You're a leader. But you don't know it. And your friends don't know it. Other than Winona. They'd rather have you fetching peaches. There's a dead guy in the well? Send Glenn down. You're walker bait. I can't take you becoming one of them," Maggie finishes and walks away leaving Glenn processes her words.
——
Winona steps out of the bathroom, clean clothes adoring her washed body. "Graves, please. What happened? Why won't you talk to me?"
Winona jumps a bit, startled by Rick who was pacing outside the bathroom, waiting for her. "Grimes, everything is fine. I'm fine," she responds.
"Then why won't you talk to me? You've been distant these past few days. You can't even look me in the eyes anymore. Just please tell me what's wrong."
Winona takes a deep breath, heart shattering, voice wavering, "I'm not your wife. I'm not your best friend. It shouldn't matter either way. So what if I haven't talked to you? You shouldn't care. You can't. You have more important stuff to worry about. You have Lori and Carl to worry about, okay? Just leave me alone."
Rick takes a step to her, a pain in his chest taking over, "Don't talk like that. What's gotten into you?" his voice cracks with emotion, "You're still important to me, Winona. You should know that. At least look at me, please. That's all I ask."
She steps away from him heading towards the door, "It doesn't matter. I'm going to find Daryl, you should go talk to Lori." As she walks away, tears fall and she mumbles not knowing Rick could hear, "I fucking hate secrets."
"Secrets? What secrets?" he whispers out loud to no one. He feels paralyzed by the pain in his chest, he couldn't describe the feeling it was like he got shot in the heart and left to die. He felt something roll down his face and he went to brush it off, "Tears?" he questions. He hadn't noticed when he started crying but they wouldn't stop raining down on his cheeks.
——
Daryl laid in his tent flipping through the book Andrea had given him. He hears tapping coming from outside the zipper, "Come in," he huffs. The person began to unzip the entrance and steps inside. Daryl looks up, seeing a tear-stained face worn by Winona. "Jesus, Wi, what happened to you?" he said shifting to stand.
"Don't— don't get up," she sniffles while wiping a few tears, "You could reopen the wound with that movement."
"Stop babying me for one second and talk to me, woman," he huffs, "I can't stand to see your crying face. It's an ugly sight," he tries lightening the mood.
She gives a small smile, "You're not the best sight to see either," sitting across from him she inhales, gathering her thoughts, "I fucking hate secrets."
Daryl raises an eyebrow, "That's what got you all fussy?"
She shakes her head, "Lori told me to stay away from her, and Rick, and Carl. She says I act like his wife and she doesn't want me talking to them. But obviously, I can't tell Rick that and I don't want to be a home-wrecker, so after I got back from the run with Glenn and Maggie I went to shower because I was covered in blood—"
"Blood?" Daryl asks.
"Yeah, had a run-in with a few walkers. Anyways, before I could reach the bathroom, I ran into Rick since I wasn't paying attention. He stopped me and asked if I was alright due to the blood covering me. He started to wipe the blood off my face and I freaked out. I had to distance myself. I tried being short with him but he kept pushing until I finally went to shower. However, when I came out, he had waited for me. He was begging for a reason I was acting like that— why I was pulling away. I had to tell him to stop worrying so much. That it shouldn't matter how often he talks to me because I'm not his wife. It hurt so much, Daryl," her voice cracks with emotion, "Seeing the pain I was causing and the confusion, I hate it. I hate myself for doing that. I can't— I won't ruin his relationship with Lori. I will not let my emotions come in between them. I don't want to do what Shane did to me. I care about him, so I guess this is for the better." Daryl gets up, "Daryl? what are you doing? I told you—"
He didn't care about her lecture as he stood and limped to her, pulling her in for a tight hug, "Don't talk like that, Wi. You're nothing like Shane, and you're not doin' what he did. That's bullshit she's forcing ya to do that. You shouldn't put up with that, you should tell Rick and while you're at it; tell Lori to shove it."
Winona looks down, "It's not my place, Daryl. That's his wife. I'm just another person in the group."
He shakes his head, "When will ya get it through that thick skull of yours? He cares about ya just as much you care about him. You're important to him, anyones able to see that."
"If you say so, but again, it's Lori that doesn't want me around him. She wants me to have no contact with any of them. I don't know why. I don't even know if I could do that to Carl with how bad it hurt with Rick."
Daryl sits back on his cot, "She feels threatened by ya."
"What?? Why?"
"She sees how much you care and how much he cares. How far you're willin' to go for him and how much you trust him. She realizes that's how she should be with him, so she feels threatened by you."
Winona eyes widen, "But— it doesn't make any sense. He loves her. She's his wife. I'm not going to steal him from her."
"Probably just her feeling guilty."
"It's not like I like him like that, ya know?"
"Oh that's a crock-of-shit, Wi, and you know it. So cut the crap," her eyes widen at Daryl's laugh, "You might care for me or Glenn but you wouldn't trust us the way you do with Rick. The way you look at him makes me wanna puke. Only the people closest to you can tell— other than Rick, he's as oblivious as they get."
She puts a hand over her mouth, "Oh God. I'm just like Shane."
"Cut that out," he huffs, "You haven't cheated with Rick. You didn't steal your best friend's partner."
"I still feel like shit."
"Well I'm telling you not to."
Winona sighs, "I'll try. Thanks for letting me vent," he nods, "So what's the book?"
"Andrea gave it to me as an apology for shootin' me," he hands it to the woman.
She begins flipping through it, "Damn no pictures?"
He chuckles, "That's what I said. It's not that exciting. How was your run with Glenn?"
"A shit-show. I split off and went to the store across the way, to look for a tent and a possible smaller weapon than my axe. I saw two geeks towards the back and took them out pretty quickly. I started to look for the stuff and found a pretty okay tent and then as I was going through the hunting knifes and machete aisle, trying to find one that wasn't looted, there was a lurker that was slumped against the wall that I assumed was already dead. I thought wrong and it tripped me, crawling over top of me, so I had to dig my hunting knife through its head, getting a shit ton of blood and guts over me,"
Daryl give a nod, "Nice."
"Oh but it doesn't stop there, I found a machete and went back to the pharmacy where Glenn and Maggie were. When I got there, Glenn was bashing the head of a walker in while Maggie looks terrified. Turns out we were there to get stupid shit for Lori so I got pretty pissed. I thought there was stuff for the group too. It was selfish and not to mention she wanted us to go right after she told me to stay away from her and her family."
"Jesus Christ, woman. It's not your day, huh?"
"That's one way to describe it," she chuckles rubbing her forehead.
"Well, once I get an 'all clear' from Dr. Graves, I teach you more about the bike."
She laughs, cheering up, "Thanks Daryl, that'll be nice. It won't be for a day or two, though, so don't think I'll give you the pass early. I'll let you rest up, sorry for bothering you with my problems."
"It's kinda entertaining for me," he smirks.
"Hey!" she lightly hits his shoulder.
He shifts and his voice becomes softer, "You can talk to me whenever. And I mean that."
She smiles, "Thank you Daryl. It means a lot."
"It's nothin'," he huffs laying back down. She chuckles heading out of his tent.
——
Entering one of the decrepit houses, Andrea calls out, "Sophia? Anyone?" They begin to walk further in, "Sophia?" she calls again. Seeing a barricade, she looks to Shane, "They walled off the hallway?"
"They tried to make a stand here," he quickly responds. Shane heads through the hole in the wall to continue searching, Andrea follows. Holding his gun out, ready to fire, he leads the way. The further in they got, the worse the smell. They pass a room with half a dozen rotting corpses piled in the middle.
"Sophia?" Andrea tries again. Shane pushes the makeshift barricades at the bottom of the stairs over. They enter a charred room, flies buzzing over the handful of burned bodies. Shane takes his hat off, looking over the sight. Andrea nearly gags from the mixture of the smell and tragedy in front of her. She shakes her head, removing her hand from her mouth, "She was never here, was she?" she squats, "I don't know how to tell Carol this was another dead end."
Hearing a group of walkers snarling, Shane quickly gets down and looks under the garage door to see a large group of walkers shuffling towards them. He backs up, motioning for Andrea, "Come on, let's move." The walkers start to crawl under the door, trying to devour the meals in front of them. Andrea and Shane move quickly out of the house. The male sees a few walkers by their car, "Cover that street. I'll clear the car," he orders. He soon begins firing off rounds at the undead that stand near the vehicle.
Andrea tries to keep the walkers back by shooting but is unable to hit them with a headshot. Her gun clicks, "Oh shit," she panics. Shane looks back to see her fidgeting with the pistol as the walker gets closer, he takes it out with one shot.
"Focus now. Clear the jam. Focus," he instructs.
She listens, as a walker was beginning to get a little too close for comfort. She manages to reload and hold her weapon up. She looks to Shane as he lowers his, "Are you kidding me?"
"I got your back. Now go."
She looks back at the walker getting dangerously close and shoots. A direct hit. The walker goes down, allowing her to breathe a sigh of relief. She then becomes confident, walking up and beginning to shoot at the corpses coming towards the duo.
Getting in the zone, she hardly hears Shane calling for her, "Andrea, Andrea, let's go. Come on," she finally snaps out of it running to the car. However, she stops at the front of the Hyundai, "Andrea, come on," Shane sighs, exasperated. She aims once more and fires.
——
Lori sits inside her tent, rubbing her head. Glenn walks up and she looks at him, "The blood on Maggie and Winona's shirts—"
"They were attacked," he answers.
"Are you guys alright? How bad was it?"
"It was pretty close. I wasn't there to see what had happened with Wi, but I assume the same."
"I'm so sorry. I should've never have asked you to go."
"I offered."
She continues to ramble, "I thought the town was safe, but if you hadn't come back—"
Glenn stops her, "But we did. I always do." Lori nods, sniffling. He looks at her, "The Morning-After pills— will they even work?"
She views the multiple packets in her hands, "I don't know. And I don't know if I want them to."
He hesitates, "Winona thought you might have second thoughts," she looks up at the mention of the woman, "She decided to get these too. 'Just in case' she said," he hands a small bag over.
Lori opens it and gives a small remorseful smile as she sees Winona's gesture, "Prenatal vitamins. That's a hell of a choice."
"I'm glad it's not mine," he softly says. Glancing around, he looks back to Lori, "Lori, we're friends, aren't we?"
"With everything we've been through— yeah," she chuckles.
"I can't tell you what to do. I could never tell you something like that. But your choice— maybe you shouldn't make it alone." Lori looks at the male as he departs from the tent, leaving her alone with the choices.
——
Andrea watches the scenery pass by out the window of the car. She then looks over to Shane driving. Reaching over the armrest she begins to fondle him. He raises a brow, but doesn't stop her. He immediately brings the car to a screeching halt. "Get over here," he commands, pulling her hair to direct her over and onto his lap.
——
Lori sits inside the tent, silently crying. Making her decision, she grabs the packet of the Morning-After pills, collecting them all in her palm. Looking the over one final time, she takes them all at once, chugging water to make them go down.
Realizing the choice she just made wasn't the one she wanted, she begins to panic. Jogging out of the tent, she runs over to a secluded spot behind a tree. She begins shoving her fingers down her throat, trying to force herself to vomit up the pills. It works, causing bile to come up.
——
Shane whips the Hyundai into the farm, causing Dale, Winona, and Carol to come investigate. They get out of the car, and Carol questions them, "Anything?"
Shane sighs, "Not today."
"I'm so sorry," Andrea apologizes to the older woman, "We'll cover more ground tomorrow."
Winona notices some suspicious bruises on Andrea's neck and she assumes Dale had too when he asks, "What happened out there?"
Andrea begins to stutter, "Um, I—"
Shane covers, "The place was overrun."
"Yeah," Andrea sighs smiling at Shane. Winona rolls her eyes at this.
"Let's go get you cleaned up," Carol says to the blonde. Winona leaves the men, as well.
Dale looks at Shane in disbelief. He goes to follow the other male, "Shane, Shane, I was thinking, you've got that nice new ride of yours, plenty of fuel, more than enough for you to get far from here."
"What, you telling me to leave?" Shane scoffs.
"I know you've been planning to. Maybe now is a good time."
He scoffs again, "Is this about Andrea?"
"I'm looking out for the group."
"You think the group would be better off without me, Dale? Why don't you tell that to Rick or Lori? Their boy would be dead if I hadn't put my ass on the line."
"And Otis's," Dale reminds. Shane just scoffs and shakes his head, starting to walk away. Dale doesn't let that stop him, "You've been vague about that night, about what happened."
Shane lowers his head, gathering his thoughts, "Otis died a hero."
"So you've said."
"A little boy lived because of what went down that night," Shane justifies, "I think you ought to show some gratitude."
"I wasn't there."
"No, man, you weren't."
"But I was the time that you raised your gun on Rick. And so was Winona."
"Come on. Jesus," he sighs.
"You had him in your sights and you held him there," Shane exhales and Dale continues, "And speaking of Winona, I was there the times you were rough with her. I know what kind of man you are."
Shane looks at him pissed, "You think I'd shoot Rick? That is my best friend. That's the man that I love. I love him like he's my brother. You think that's the kind of man I am?" he says, ignoring the part about Winona.
"That's right," Dale nods, unbothered by the intimidation.
"Well, maybe we ought to just think that through. Say I'm the kind of man who'd gun down his own best friend. What do you think I'd do to some guy that I don't even like when he starts throwing accusations my way? What do you think?" Dale doesn't respond, unnerved by the man. Shane nods, walking away.
——
Rick steps into the tent, his mind still mulling over the previous exchange with Winona. He removes his belt laying it over the metal folding chair. The opened packs of Morning-After scattered on the table catch his gaze. He stumbles to sit. Confusion setting in. "Was this what Winona had meant?" he whispers to himself, remembering the last words she had said. He holds up another pack, he couldn't believe it.
——
Rick walks out of the gate, finding Lori squatting in the grass. She stands once she notices him, he looks at her but says nothing. When he gains the ability to speak, he stutters, upset, "Is— Is there something you need to tell me?"
Lori speaks, voice thick with emotion, "We can't leave. I'm pregnant."
Rick holds up the packs of abortion pills, "Are you?" he scowls, stepping closer.
"I threw them up," she explains. Rick begins to pace, anger slowly rising. "You can yell if you want. You can scream if you have to, but talk to me."
He stands, glaring at her, his hands resting on his hips. He stomps over, "How long have you known?"
She looks at him with confusion, "Does it matter?"
He steps back, continuing, "Days? Weeks? And you didn't tell me?"
"I'm telling you now."
Rick cuts her off with an indignant yell, "No," he lowers his voice back down, "I found these. So Glenn knows, right? Instead of going to me, you sent him to get pills? What about Winona? She went with him this run, does she know?"
"I panicked. You tell me we have no roof and no walls—"
He yells again, "Do not put this on me! You tear into me for keeping secrets when you're holding onto this?"
"You want me to bring a baby into this?" Lori yells back, "To live a short, cruel life?"
"How can you think like that?!"
"We can't protect the son we already have."
Rick throws the packets down, "So this is the solution?"
"Rick, I threw them up. I screwed up. I don't know how we do this," she begins to cry.
He rubs his face, "We can make it work."
"How? Tell me how."
"We'll figure it out. Shouldn't we try to figure it out? You threw up the pills. You want this baby. I know you do."
"Not like this. Not giving birth in a ditch. Not when its life will hang by a thread from the second it's born. Not when every cry will put it, and Carl, and everyone we care about, in danger. That's not right."
Rick rubs his forehead, "Not even giving it a chance isn't right either."
"Maybe this is why I didn't want to tell you."
"I still— I still don't understand why. You really think I'd make you have a baby you don't want?"
"No, so that if I went through with it, it would be on my conscience and not yours."
"Maybe that's true, but I can't live like this anymore, Lori. We can't live like this. Is there anything else I should know about?"
Lori hesitates, "Shane and I."
Rick nods, heart aching, "I know. Of course I know," he pauses, "You thought Winona and I were dead. The world went to shit and you thought we were dead. Right?"
Lori cries and quickly shakes her head, "Yeah."
He looks away, "Now— just one more thing. Did Winona just find out about you and Shane?"
Lori looks in shock, "No. She's known since camp. Why?"
Rick runs his hand through his hair, frustrated, "She been acting strange— avoiding me a lot recently. She won't talk to me anymore, and told me that she wasn't someone I needed to worry about."
Lori freezes, "That's weird. I haven't got the slightest idea as to why she'd act like that," she lies with a shrug.
——
Rick walks through the camp, on a mission to find Winona. Seeing the woman, he grabs her by the arm, dragging her away from what she had been doing. "Hey!" she tries fighting not realizing who it was yet, "Shane, get off for the love of God, I swear I'm gonna—"
"You're gonna what?" Rick cuts her off.
"Grimes?" she finally realizes and her heart twinges with sadness as she tries to pull away.
"No, you're not walking away from me this time," he says as he stands with her in a secluded place.
"Rick—"
He interrupts, "I talk, then you'll answer. Okay?" She nods, confused. "Good. One: the reason you ended things with Shane— was it because he had changed or was it because you knew about the affair?"
"I— How did you—"
"I've known, Winona," he frowns.
Her head drops, "I found out he cheated on me. I had my suspicions."
"What do you mean?" he asks stepping back.
"He acted weird when you were in the hospital. Starting getting really close with Lori. It always kind of felt like I wasn't supposed to be in the room when I would walk in. He would be short with me and not really show any affection towards me. I guess what really set me off was when he completely switched up to leave me at the hospital so he could save Lori and Carl. I was really hurt by that."
Rick nods, absorbing the information, "So you're saying it was before the start of this, that they were having the affair?"
Winona quickly shakes her head, "No! No. It was just Shane. Lori told me she didn't return any of it until she thought we were dead."
He sighs, "Alright. Two: anything else I need to know about Shane?" She hesitates before shaking her head. "Winona, I know there's something you're not telling. Why did you freak out when I grabbed your arm? You thought I was Shane."
She pauses and takes a deep breath, "Shane is dangerous. I don't know when he became like this. He's become physically aggressive towards me."
"Has he ever laid hands on you?"
She gulps, unsure if she should be honest, "...Yes. Multiple times. You've seen when he would harshly grab me, half of those times left bruises. However, there was one time, when we were at the CDC, where he had attempted to rape me, he choked me, and he proceeded to hit me then too."
"God, Winona, why didn't you tell me?"
Her voice cracks as tears threaten to spill, "He's your best friend. I'm no one."
"Stop saying that," he says pulling her in for a hug, "I care about you a lot. I appreciate the things you do for me and my family. I know we would be here if not for you."
"Just please don't do anything. Shane's a loose cannon. I don't trust him."
"You've got my word," he gives a salute. He then focuses back on the conversation, "Last questions: why are you avoiding me? And why did you say you hated secrets?"
"Have you talked to Lori?"
"Yes, I found out some things," he says gauging her reaction.
"Oh? Like what?"
"Lori's pregnant," he states. When Winona doesn't initially act surprised, Rick's suspicions are confirmed, "But you already knew that."
"What? No I had no clue. Congratulations," she says lying through her teeth.
"Cut the crap, Graves. You said you hated secrets, kept hinting for me to talk to Lori, and came back from the supply run with Glenn pissed off," Rick lists, starting to get frustrated with all the lies and secrets.
Winona crosses her arms, "Yeah. I fucking hate secrets, okay? So would you kindly tell you wife to stop making me keep them? Did she tell you that she's the reason I've been avoiding you? I've been doing a great job, huh?" she motions towards him standing in front of her, "And, yeah, maybe I was a little bit pissed off when I found out the list she had given us was stuff for her and only her comfort. We risked our asses to get what? Lotion? Conditioner? All after she had told me to stay away from you and Carl."
Rick's eyes widen, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to ruin yours and Lori's relationship," she sighs, "I had lost mine and I didn't want you to experience what I went through."
Rick pinches the bridge of his nose, "So keeping these massive secrets was the best option? You thought that was keep my relationship from getting ruined?"
"I was doing you a favor! It wasn't any of my business!"
"Yet you still knew! It was your business when you found out. That was a shit favor. You should've told me."
"I'm not a goddamn mind reader, Rick! I thought I was protecting you from getting hurt."
"I thought I could trust you being honest with me. But I guess not, so you know what? Maybe Lori was right when she told you to stay away."
Winona's heart drops, a flash of betrayal washes over her face, "W—What?"
Rick steps closer, "If you were comfortable with keeping those secrets. How can I trust that you're honest with anything you say? I've got more important things to worry about. Isn't that what you told me?"
"Rick—"
"No, Winona. Maybe it would be best for you to stay away for awhile."
She steps back, a cold expression covering the hurt, "Fine. If that's what you want. I'll leave you alone," she turns to leave, "Just know Rick, I always trusted you. I just wanted what I thought was best for you." She gives him one last saddened look before walking away.
Once Winona had left, Rick dropped to his knees cradling his face in his hands. He couldn't believe what he had just done. He didn't think the conversation would turn out that way. Lori had gotten him riled up to the point he ended up taking out on someone he cared for. Once the words had slipped out, he already began to regret them. Seeing the hurt and betrayal flash across Winona's face made his feel overcome with grief. She really was just trying to look out for him, why couldn't he see that?
