At that moment the door swung open and Veronica stepped through it straining her jacket and glaring at us.
"Well, well, well, look what we have here?" an evil grin spread across her face as she paused to admire the fear lingering in my eyes, "I had no idea you were smart enough to escape my prison but you are not smart enough to escape me!"
As if that sentence was a cue the men barged out of the tunnel making a racket as loud as thunder. They picked us up, threw us onto the remaining chairs and attached the cords to our brains. The screams and the laughter dyed down. The pain stopped aggravating my legs and arms as I fell into a deep Coma. I fell into a secret vast tunnel. It was lit up with candles and chemical tubes laid on desks. In the middle of the room was Maia! She was covering Emerson with a worried look on her face as some thing approached. "Maia it's me, Lara" I shouted but she gave no sign that she heard me. I walked over to her and crouched down in between her and Emerson. But when she threw her hand over Emerson it went straight threw my body. I read about this stuff in books but I always thought it was not real. I could see the past, present or future in my dreams. I was paralysed with shock when suddenly Emerson started fidgeting. Her heart started beating and she started to breathe. Her eyes flashed open. Her upper body flung into a seated position.
"Veronica is coming, Veronica is coming to destroy all of mankind."
