3rd Person POV
after flynn and julie left the next day for school, astrid left the studio with her song book and she went to the beach. she sat down with her guitar as she pulled out her songbook and started to strum her guitar
"seasons may change, but we won't change Isn't it sweet, how we, know that already? Winter to Spring Spring back to Fall Isn't it cool how nothing here changes at all? Television static was quite overwhelming Was it because of the cabin, the candles in the wind? We've done it for fun, we've done it for free I showed up for you, you showed up for me We did it for the right reasons We did it for fun, we did it for free When I was young 'til eternity I'll do it for the right reasons Withstanding all the time, changes and seasons" she sang as she watched people sway along and the smile stayed on her face as she watched them
"who was that about?" alex asked as she looked up at him and she sighed
"you know who" she said and he nodded as he sat next to her
"so we're playing the school dance tonight, you'll be there right?" he asked and she nodded
"who is this?" she asked as she looked at the boy who was standing next to her brother
"oh i'm willie and you're astrid right?" he asked and they shook each other's hand as she smiled at him
"yeah lex talks about me?" she questions
"every since we met, you're his favorite person" He said and alex smiled at astrid
"he's mine too" she said and alex wrapped his arm around her
"oh but i thought that was reggie"
"who's reggie?" willie asked and alex made eye contact with astrid
"the bassist in our band, it was really nice meeting you willie but me and alex do have to go" astrid said and she teleported them to the studio
"are the guys here? oh and astrid, she's my favorite" Flynn said and Astrid stuck her tongue out at the others
"ha" she said and flynn waved at them
"over here flynn" astrid said and flynn waved over to them in their direction and she smiled at her
" Now that Alex and astrid have graced with their presence can we start working?" Luke said
" Yes! We're going to her so do you wanna stick around?" Julie asked flynn
" I'm supposed to blow 500 balloons for the school dance, but this sounds way better" Flynn said and that's when carlos walked in
" Julie remember those orbs and dad's pictures. I think theyre ghosts but don't worry this room is... Is... This room is clean. I'm not getting the ghost tingles" Carlos said
" Wrong again, little dude" Reggie said and astrid leaned on his shoulder with a smile
"he's cute" Astrid said and julie smiled at her
" Have no fear. If they come back, I will protect you because I am the man of the house" He said and Astrid chuckled
" Isn't dad supposed to be the man of the house?" julie said
" There can be too. And dad needs all the help we can get, right. According to the Internet, Salt burns their souls out. A little sprinkle will keep them from ever coming in here" And he threw it at them but they were okay. flynn led carlos out of the studio
"shall we try this again?" Julie asked
" Yes please but reminders later there's some sunset curve songs to show you" Luke said
" And I have more songs to show you" Astrid said
" Oh show me now" Julie said and Luke grabbed his songbook
"who's Emily?" Julie asked
"oh shit" Astrid said and Luke sighed
"that one's not dog-eared" Luke said and astrid sat down next to reggie and he grabbed her hand as she started to play with his bracelets and he played with her rings
"i'll be at the dance later jules but i do have to do something" she said and she went out of the studio
"astrid" reggie called after her and she turned to him
"where are you going?" he asked and she sighed
"just for a walk" she said and she kissed his cheek before she turned and walked away
if only she knew that leaving wouldn't be a good decision on her behalf
