"Wait so that wasn't you?" Lucinda asked. Melissa shook her head. Suddenly the shatter of glass made the two fall silent. Lucinda groaned in annoyance. "I swear to Irene, if people don't stop it with the windows I'm actually reinforcing them." Melissa chuckled before heading down stairs. She looked around before giving lucinda the all clear. "I don't get it. No windows are broken, nothings out of place. So what was that sound?"
"I don't know, you check the downstairs  and I'll check the upstairs." Before she could walk away Melissa grabbed her arm. "Lucinda are you sure that's a good idea?"

"Melissa I can handle my self. I'm a witch, Remember? And you'll be able to hear me walk around because of the floor boards." The two walked off in their directions on high alert. Melissa concentrated on Lucinda's every move. She knew very well that she could handle herself but something felt very off to her this time. She checked the front windows again in case she missed anything. If this was Gene again wouldn't she have picked up his scent by now. "He always reviles himself right? He's not very smart with his plans." She thought. Whistle examining the windows the front door came slamming down with a matter of seconds making her jump. "Miss me luc- oh great... You again." He scoffed. "Yah, me again!" She charged at him with all her might, sending both towards the floor.

Upstairs, Lucinda was looking through her bed room when she heard the slam of the door. "Crap! Meliss-ah!" She felt a sharp pain in her neck causing her to fall on her knees. Feeling around her neck she felt a dart and quickly pulled in out. "P- poison tipped.. dart.." Her head spun in circles while her vision and hearing became distort. She couldn't hear the foot steps walking behind her. Slowly she got up and stumbled to get to the door.

Melissa slammed gene into the wall by his neck. "Had enough yet?" She asked, wiping the bold from her mouth. Gene responds by slamming his head against hers making her stumble back. "Oh, no no no... I'm just getting started!" He laughed. Melissa felt blood drip form her head as she stumbled to stand. "What's your head made of! Agh!" She groaned. Gene grabbed a knife he had in his pocket and lunged at Melissa. Melissa quickly grabbed his hand with the knife. "I will adm- admit , you've gotten stronger.." Her voice was tired and out of breath. "B-but not.. str- strong enough!" She griped his hand tighter, causing the knife to fall out from his hand. He shouted in agony.

He reached for her neck but she quickly stoped him. "That's was a mistake." She smirked. Using her last bit of strength, she tossed him over her body. The sound of wood breaking inducted he landed on the dinning table. She sighed letting her knees and hands fall towards the ground. Looking behind her she saw gene completely passed out. "Thank Irene that's over!" She praised. But her victory didn't last long. Melissa realized Lucinda hadn't come back down yet. Panic over powered her as her Injures and bruise become nothing but paper cuts. She rushed up the stairs not wasting a single second.

Her eyes widen when she saw nothing there. "Lucinda!? LUCINDA!!" She yelled. Frantically she looked around for any sign, any clues, anything that might have indicated where she was. But there was nothing but silence. Melissa felt her chest tighten. "It was a distraction! HE WAS A DISTRACTION!" She jumped down the stairs and back to Gene who was just now waking up. "You! Where is she?! What did you do?!" Gene looked confused. "What? What are you- agh! Talking about?" He mumbled. She slapped him and pulled him off the ground towards her. "I won't ask aging! Where is she!" Gene laughed making her tear up. "Aww, did the sad wolf get her feelings hurt?"

"What do you know?" Gene smirked. "Maybe I was a distraction... and if I was, Lucinda's gone. In fact, this whole thing was planed. The fighting.. the yelling.. even the glass breaking! And so was this!" Gene stabbed Melissa in the stomach sending waves of pain through her.
He depend the cut, pressing the knife deport into her skin. Her scream sent chills down genes spine as he removed the knife form her. She let go of him and held her hands towards the wound. Gene laughed menacingly, watching her fall in pain. "I'll leave you here to die then. I have plans anyway." Gene started to walk away, whistling to himself.

Melissa felt her eyes water. "You think this will kill me!" She winched furious, her voice shaking. Gene stoped and turned back around to face her. "Yes actually. That's is, if you don't want everyone finding out about your little brothers secret." She felt her ears ring as the words escaped his mouth. She looked back shocked to see no one there. He was gone, leaving a bleeding werewolf on the ground, shaking.

Melissa forced herself up from the ground. She exited the house and walked down the street. Each step was agonizing as the pain become more and more unbearable to handle. Finally, she knocked on a door and waited for an answer. To her an entire passed waiting for the door to open. It gave her a moment to replay all that had just happened in her mind. She tightened her grip on her wound. She heard small barks from the inside. Finally the door opened. She stared to lose vision but could still hear the panicked in his voice. Before passing out she smiled at him. "Hey... baby brother..."
